Closing it would be a rude invitation to annihilate Iran military presence in the areas adjacent to Arab Gulf and Hormuz strait. Jet fighters nowadays are pretty able to track and destroy every vehicle anywhere in Iran, so, don't rely on Iranian Ballistic Missiles carriers to retaliate, and I don't think Iran can do anything to those deadly flying objects.

Trust me, If they get stupid enough to attack a NATO base Turkey will officially declare war and task second army command to join the party. We might just stay natural in case of a pre-emptive NATO attack but I still think we'd let them use İncirlik Air Base and Turkish Airspace.
