Again same ignorance, this project also includes some pretty tough programming. It's not all hardware.

Indian companies cannot compete with Western companies for higher end stuff, as Chinese can't with high end items.

These things take time, it doesn't go from nothing to something, innovation mostly is based on need rather than just something crazy.

Stealth planes wasn't just bam, a stealthy plane, but US had a need and consulted with their firms on how to do it. India doesn't have the higher need right now, or maybe you do, not 100% sure where India is IT wise.


Still a pretty good achievement in terms of IT and probably could break into Chinese market, maybe not for domestic companies, but for all those that needs to go international, a English system is the name of the game.

India is moving up the IT value chain quite steadily just as China is moving up the manufacturing value chain.

And incidentally just as China's low end manufacturing has moved to interior China, so have India's IT companies for low end coding.
