Indian culture cutting across boundaries

I attended our Company's Anual party last week here in bahrain where an Bahraini band was playing Arabic traditional music as fillers between the events.
Towards the end, the dude singing (who had a great voice and talent, btw) breaks into old Mohd. Rafi and Pankaj Udhas songs to a huge roar from the 200 odd attendees.
The surprising things was that there were only 10 odd Indian (including one bahranized Pakistani) attending the function. But one has to be present to see the kind of enthuasism across all the Attendees (most of whom were Bahrainis).
Also, whenever I go for Hindi movies, I come across there are more Arabs then Indians cinegoers to these movies.
