Hopefully they will now also work to develop and produce Jet engines.

This is the best news of IDEF23, F16 upgrade can be done to all blocks and will be done. With this we will outgame the Americans with ther bitching behaviour with ypg and greece bs demands. First they will begin with block30, from 2025 to 2027 all the 30's. After that block40 and 50 between 2028 and 2030.

@Oublious , @dBSPL .

Can ÖZGÜR-2 "also" guide Turkeys existing stocks of AMRAAMS and other NATO weapons in its inventory ? Turkey has a lot of that inventory and it would be a shame if they could not be used (given how many 10's of billions of dollars of NATO level munitions that Turkey has acquited over the ages ).

No problem , even if not

Turkish Air Force doesnt have huge American munition stock
143 AIM-120C7
125 AIM-9x
95 HARM
50 SLAM-ER
100 JSOW

130+ AIM-120B and 2.000+ AIM-9M/L/S/P3 missiles are old from 1990s

29 F-16 block50+ can use 143 AIM-120C7 , 125 AIM-9x , 95 HARM , 50 SLAM-ER and 100 JSOW

And we can use our own missiles BOZDOGAN , GOKDOGAN , GOKHAN , SOM , CAKIR , AKBABA , etc on OZGUR-1 and OZGUR-2 modernization F-16 block30/40/50s ( 200 F-16s )

For Turkey - probably not a problem, Turkey can move on. For cash strapped Pakistan, this would be a problem that limits the potential of this upgrade being applied to Pakistan. Pakistan has 498 AMRAAMs C-5s it would not want to throw away - etc.

Well i do not have answer but if we compare it what Turkish engineers are doing with block 40 and 50 fighters, should be no problem. Our Turkish weapons are fired from American software.
