According to some review from Facebook or Twitter, some HK fans were so impolite to those Filipino fans and even throw trash to them.

That's what happened when people don't spend their energy of hate wisely.
Even you are bringing 'unrelated' issue to a friendly sport march.
Even those people did kill your tourists in their own land,
taking photos of your people's death,
made fun of the tragedy and smile,
insulted your people.
You should never act like that, that's so improper, that's a no-no.

Pinoy fans hurt as Azkals' friendly game in Hong Kong turns unfriendly
June 5, 2013 11:10am
In a bizarre turn of events, the friendly game of the Philippine national football team Azkals on Tuesday evening turned "unfriendly" as some fans of the Hong Kong team allegedly threw trash and hurled invectives at the fans of the Philippine team.

[Related: Azkals beat Hong Kong for the first time, behind mammoth Neil Etheridge performance]

Posts on the Facebook page of the Azkals said some of the Filipino fans who suffered abuse were women and children.

The Azkals, under manager Dan Palami and coach Michael Weiss, defeated the home team 1-0 on Tuesday at the Mong Kok Stadium in Kowloon, Hong Kong.

James Younghusband scored the lone goal of the Philippine team 33 minutes into the game. It was the Philippine team's first-ever win over the Hong Kong team.

"The win of the Philippines over Hong Kong was the FIRST TIME in seven attempts between the two sides with the last result between the two was in 2011 in a 3-3 draw in the Long Teng Cup," the Azkals said on its page.

On Twitter, the Azkals said: "Sa mga kababayan natin na sumuporta at nanood ng laban kontra Hong Kong, maraming salamat sa inyong lahat! Para bansa ang panalo nating ito!"

Also on Twitter, some fans shared stories about the reported abuse experienced by the Filipino fans.

Ida Torres ‏@idagurl: yeah it was really awful. We've been to a few away games before in other countries but we were never treated this way :(

Ida Torres ‏@idagurl: what makes it worse is that most of the Pinoys were women and there were some kids. Hay, remembering it makes me angry again

Some Filipino tweeps who were present during the friendly game said some Hong Kong fans were already rowdy during the start of the match-up, even going so far as booing the Philippine national anthem while it was being played.

Ida Torres @idagurl: National Anthem pa lang, they were booing us already. Was crying while singing coz I was so proud to be holding our flag

Andi @andinesss: They were booing our national anthem. They were raising their middles fingers. Cursing the pinoy crowd and players. No fairplay.

Boyet J. Sison@BoyetJSison: reading on what happened last night at the Azkals-HK match...there were fans who boood while our anthem was playing, and were unruly.

Some fans reacted to the news via Facebook:

Al Peter: Don't generalize; only some Hong Kong fans; we should refrain from using any ethnic reference here, many Fil-Chinese are hardcore Azkal fans also.

Jill Esteva Forde: Don't read any generalization there or ethnic reference...what about calling us a country of slaves? . - Veronica Pulumbarit, GMA News

Really who is uncivilized again?

I understand how the current event (6.4) and those people's improper smiles and unacceptable attitudes and actions could indeed possibly anger a Buddha. But these are two cases that should not be mixed up. If those people on facebook and twitter were telling the true, then those fans should be criticized.
This story tells us that Excitement is always evil.

Ya so you say but trowing stuff at them does not change that fact uncivilized actions is an action of lesser beings

Oh by the way, in order to do a further research, I have found these 'similar' interesting cases few seconds ago:

Looks like football marches always cause lots of violence~
Nar, should I say that such things are very 'normal' in such sport march.
Well at least they don't have serious political violence issue nor even made fun of tragedy.

Really those are european seating same sport but we trying to promote it here and creating an Asian culture of the sport here you chewans trying to screw up you guys are troublemakers try it here in the Philippines then we give other holiday jerks throwing stuff at peaceful fans most are women and kids you monsters! uncivilized monsters!

I have seen monsters once, they killed innocent, peaceful, friendly people without a single sense of mercy (many of them are women and children).
They even take pictures in front of the scene which many lives were token from them and smile.
Their leader was showing a very happy, lovely face while telling you to forget what just happened.
Their attitudes are no different with an uncivilized bully.
Their people really like to smell the blood; they love tragedy.
One of them even pretend to be a saint, yet it was one of them who laughed at the tragedy like a really uncivilized monster. How hypocritical.
Not to mention there have been hundreds of violence cases in their political issues and killing their own people.
Speaking of their own people, they have been killing their own 'brothers and sisters' for many years.
And of course, killing peaceful, friendly tourists and its own people are not enough. Therefore they invaded their neighbor, claim their land and killed innocent, friendly locals.
Yet this monster is still yelling around and attempt to tell everyone how bad its other neighbors are.

By the way, seems like according to monster's logic. European are not 'beings'.
Poor European.

Exactly!
To avoid more and more chinese being killed by bully on earth, taking revenge is essential method to stop invading the innocence.

Azkals endure hostile crowd, edge HK side

MANILA, Philippines - From the playing of the Philippine national anthem up to the final whistle, the visiting Azkals heard only boos from a hostile Hong Kong crowd.

Despite the hostility, the Philippine Azkals managed to score a rare 1-0 win over the hosts last Tuesday night in an international friendly that turned unfriendly after locals, according to social media chatter, subjected the Philippine team and their Filipino fans to racial and physical abuse at the Mong Kok Stadium.

James Younghusband headed in the game-winner while Neil Etheridge put up a superb goalkeeping effort as the Azkals emerged victorious over Hong Kong for the first time ever.

The Philippines had lost its first five meetings with Hong Kong, then settled for a 3-3 draw the last time they faced off in the 2011 Long Teng Cup.

Shortly after the match, witnesses peppered social media with reports claiming that some Hong Kong supporters threw mineral water bottles at women and children in the stands as well as the Azkals, while some reportedly branded the Philippines as a “nation of slaves.”

“They threw trash at us and the players, shouted obscenities at the Filipino crowd that was mostly women and youngsters, called us slaves,” Ida Torres, who was at the venue, posted on Twitter.

An expat in the crowd expressed disgust over the “ill treatment” Filipinos got in a supposedly friendly sports competition.

“At the end of the game, there were ugly scenes when the Philippine side tried to celebrate with their fans and were subjected to such abuse – verbal, gestures and physical – as they were pelted with bottles and other objects,” an Englishman interviewed by the South China Morning Post said.

“Then I was even more disgusted to hear some local guys shouting to the group of Philippine men, women and children, who were happily celebrating, that they were ‘all just slaves’... and making obscene gestures at them,” the expat added.

Some of the Hong Kong fans, according to witnesses, were already showing rude behavior while the “Lupang Hinirang” was being played prior to kickoff.

“From the national anthem, they were already booing us. Was crying while singing coz I was so proud to be holding our flag,” Torres posted on Twitter.

One fan suggested there was still a lot of ill-feeling between Hong Kong and the Philippines because of the 2010 hostage crisis in Luneta. Eight Hong Kong residents were killed when a sacked Manila policemen hijacked their bus.

Since the alleged racism and physical abuse happened during a FIFA match, concerned football bodies are bound to act accordingly.

“I wasn’t there so I’m waiting for the official report from the head of delegation, which is team manager Dan Palami. Then we will act on the basis of that report,” Philippine Football Federation general-secretary Ed Gastanes told The STAR yesterday.

The incident is expected to reach the International Football Federation (FIFA) and the Asian Football Federation (AFC), which have both adopted regulations that fairly cover such situations.

FIFA, in fact, recently adopted tough measures to fight racism, hoping to make it prohibitively costly for fans and teams alike by slapping harsher penalties on offenders.

The “anti-Filipino” incident notwithstanding, the Azkals and their fans took pride in the result of the controversial friendly.

Younghusband pounced on a defensive error by Hong Kong captain Chan Wai Ho, outjumping his markers and heading the ball towards the goal in the 33rd minute for a 1-0 lead that the Azkals protected the rest of the way, mostly through the solid game of Etheridge.

Making his first start for the Azkals since getting benched in Phl XI’s campaign in the AFC Challenge Cup qualifiers last March, Etheridge proved impenetrable against Hong Kong’s attackers.

Hong Kong had 18 attempts all night, with seven of them on target – all futile against the Fulham reserve keeper.

The Fil-British custodian stopped a penalty by Chan Siu Ki in the second half and made at least three more great saves along the way as he finished with a clean slate and helped the Philippines essay the triumph.

“Hong Kong missed many chances and we also have a fantastic goalkeeper,” said Azkals coach Michael Weiss.
