@Hassan Guy,

The Pakistan Navy chief made a public statement about forthcoming submarines, and he referred to those submarines as "Hangor" class submarines. Unless there is another submarine program, or a revival of the Daphne SSKs, there is no other conclusion.

As for commenting on the Quwa website. Are you having trouble opening a Disqus account? Or is there an issue with our pre-moderation process? If it is the latter, then the process is in place to keep out spam, attacks, and unbecoming behaviour from the website.

When I get a response on one of the comments for example, there is practically no way to be notified unless I open the site and comments again.

If you have a Disqus account, your avatar will have a small red circle with a number (of responses, reactions, etc). That's the notification icon. You can also configure email notifications on the Disqus settings page.

I was reading another one of those @Quwa article and it said that the new submarines the Pakistan Navy will be getting are designated Hangor-class.

It is very hard to come across any news story confirming this.
Hassan please see below:

Yes PNS Hangor was the name of the Daphne class sub operated by the PN from 1970 to 2006.
PNS/M Hangor sank the Kukri,so PN has decided to name the new class of subs being acquired from China as "Hangor" Class.

What don't you understand about not having an SSBN and SLBM puts us to strategic disadvantage.... It should be one of Pakistans National policy to have a strong second stike capability.

Not only near shores , but much inside into the Sunderbans area too.

But increased river transport Is creating problems for those sharks and river dolphins.

There's something about Submarines and Sharks. Scorpenes here built are named after Tiger Shark Kalvari, which is found near western coasts and even upto the Shores of Oman.
