Exit from FATF is not end of Indian Lawfare against Pakistan | International Law expert explains

This is for all the naive souls who completely discard or downplay the importance of getting out of FATF greylist.

Hassan Aslam Shad, International Law expert explains why Pakistan's exit from FATF is not end of Indian lawfare against Pakistan. Today's battles are not necessarily fought by soldiers on battlefield but law forums are increasingly used. Pakistan has been put on FATF grey list twice and black list once earlier. Onsite visit is a procedural requirement however if international community wants to put Pakistan under pressure it can find another reason. Geopolitical factors play an important role in international lawfare that can be used against any country. One example he shares is how China has managed to use lawfare

This goes without saying.

India doesn't recognizes Pakistan sovereignty and independence in letter and spirit. Still call it a Gandhi blunder with he complicit with Jinnah and Britishers.

FATF is literally about terror financing. How is it Lawfare by India when 38 or so members of FATF voted to greylist Pakistan ? That includes China too

these organizations are for arm twisting nothing more

Inside source ( AHEM AHEM - JK ) has informed me next master plan is following

Removal from FATF is a chump change by the master to its slaves, soon

Uncle sam will send some funding as well when Pakistan provides a few bases and a bit more autonomous role for the US inside the region to keep close eyes on, China, Iran, Afghanistan & limited Russia.

RAW will send a few million $$$ directly to Bajwa's, Zardari's & Nawaz's & parties' accounts in Zurich, so Pakistan stops being a hurdle for India for a permanent seat in UNSC, Good luck getting Chinese support on this.

Also Military soon itself will start Peace talks with India, LOC will change into International borders, and Pakistan will give up on Kashmir on the international forum and by that I mean UN ( BAJWA will be hailed as a hero for the peace on the international media ) and may be in few years can be used as a leader ( President ) after his retirement in few years.

Pakistan will officially recognize Israel soon as well.

Pakistan's armed forces will go on major downsizing in the name of ( modernizing the armed forces ) 20 - 30 % of manpower will be cut in the coming years.

FATF is not just about that and Pakistan being in the grey list has nothing to do with terror financing if that was TRUE UNCLE SAM will be the first one in the black list lol , in regards to India doesn't hold that much pull it was Uncle sams own doing, trying to play both sides and keep its slave nation under check

Of course. This is only the beginning. Pakistan has huge challanges ahead. PDM, Bajwa and US interference. These are all working in unison to give India an upperhand.
India is not a member of FATF. It is all your lax policing of terror financing that landed you in greylist.

It has everything to do with terror financing - quoting Dawn -

Are FATF’s concerns regarding Pakistan about money laundering or financing of terrorism?

It seems FATF’s concerns are mainly regarding financing of terrorism.

The FATF’s public statement issued on 29 June, 2018 begins by saying, “In June 2018, Pakistan made a high-level political commitment” to “strengthen its AML/CFT regime and to address its strategic counter-terrorist financing-related deficiencies [emphasis added].”

This is also made clear when we look at the actions Pakistan is being asked to take to exit the list:

  1. terrorism financing risks are properly identified, assessed, and supervised;
  2. remedial actions and sanctions are applied in cases of money laundering and financing of terrorism violations;
  3. competent authorities are coordinating to identify and take enforcement action against illegal money or value transfer services;
  4. authorities are identifying cash couriers and enforcing controls on illicit movement of currency and understanding the risk of cash couriers being used for financing of terrorism;
  5. improving inter-agency coordination including between provincial and federal authorities on combating financing of terrorism risks;
  6. law enforcement agencies are identifying and investigating financing of terrorism and prosecuting related designated persons and entities;
  7. financing of terrorism prosecutions result in applicable sanctions and enhancing the capacity and support for prosecutors and the judiciary;
  8. effective implementation of targeted financial sanction against all designated terrorists;
  9. enforcement against financing of terrorism violations including administrative and criminal penalties and authorities cooperating on enforcement cases; and
  10. facilities and services owned or controlled by designated persons are deprived of their resources.

First of all it wasnt India it was US, who was behind it. India is just its puppet. Wo India ko aagy krty hain jab b Pakistan ko punish karna hota ha for our independent foreign policy.

2ndly Pakistan hasnt been out of Grey list yet, the decision will be taken in October when elections r expected! So if PML-N wins Pak will be out, and if it looses and IK wins Pak will stay grey listed and then in future even be Black listed!

India suffers from delusions and ping pongs between states of euphoria and reality. Believing at times that they can control reality and another recognizing how weak and feeble they really are

USA put us on this damn list snd kept us on it noting to do with Indian, it is only a beneficiary to western actions not it

Yes. INDIA is weak. Please continue.

Pakistan needs to reform and modernize its financial systems irrespective of FATF. India is dependant on support from the west to continue these lawfare attacks against Pakistan. This was easy during WOT but will get harder since Ukraine is the current big geopolitical issue. West is not pleased that India is not condeming Russia. Pakistan will get off FATF because of this, IMO.
