China's Fifth-Generation Fighter Could Be A Game Changer In An Increasingly Tense East Asia

yeah but that was long age ...a lot have changed...
and what your fight against China has to do with capability to make 5th gen fighter?
China is not smart in making good engine, so no hope for them to even make a good 3rd gen fighter.

Good pic, what's the name of the fighter

You guys are doing good in this field[basically all the fields],all the best for your future endeavors :enjoy:

J-11B is a major upgrade of J-11A which is based on Su-27SK.

BTW, we need those new J-11B to fulfill the quantity of our air force.

The aerodynamic design of the Su-27 family is already near flawless for a fourth generation fighter, thus I don't think that we need to spend more time to redesign everything.

BTW, comparing J-20 with PAK FA, you can see how China and Russia have taken a completely different approach when it comes to the concept of the fifth generation fighter.

Yeah,i liked the approach of you jumping the development of 4th gen fighters & just using SU variants to fill gaps & focus entirely on 5th gen,but let's not forget you have a solid Industrial base as well as a well developed aeronautical industry to do that

PAK FA is still primarily based on the Su-27 family, while we took a very different approach.

BTW, before we and USSR both have a parallel approach towards the delta-wing fighter such as J-9 (predecessor of J-10 and J-20) and Mig 1.44.

Too bad that Russia has given up Mig 1.44 in order to favor the products of the Sukhoi company.

A shame really, they should give some projects to MIG corp they are really struggling or better yet sell them to their Best Buddies :chilli::chilli::chilli:

J-20 descended from a parallel concept of Mig 1.44, but not Mig 1.44 itself.

This is the true ancestor of J-20. They did scrap their delta-wing fighter project, while we didn't.
