China to stand by Pakistan if India imposes war: Defence Minister

You're comparing individual morals with national defense interests.
Interests is the key word here, you think for few billions they will risk few billions more.

Chinese may not have to deal with Russia, but if they have to then ? What happens..and trust me it wont be russia or anyone else.to know find out why china has to keep growing.

When Pakistanis are available globally for their motherland...there is no need for anyone else as best to avoid war but if imposed, we must fight ourselves & fight to the finish!

ok,if you feel that will make any differance.
actually china alone is good enough, but Pakistan has recently come very close to Turkey.

Difference is being made already, if you follow international news.

If you follow internationa news you will know why china cannt stand by for long, find out why china has to keep growing.

They will stand by you, sit by you or even sleep by you, but they won't lift a finger to help you.

Pakistan should learn from its history.

1971 , Kargil war, or even recent LOC flare up, not even a single supporting gesture from Chinese towards Pakistan.

If Pakistan is clever enough to pick its own fights, then it should be strong enough to fight its own battles.

BTW why is this statement coming from Pakistani defence minister instead of a Chinese one ?
Well in 1971 India and Russia had a a defence agreement and China and Russia had 4000 kilometers of borders and back then us was our strategic patner not China and back in kargil we were winning not Indians so i hope you understood my point

China has its own land disputes with India, which you seem to be forgetting. All your talk of being able to solve it diplomatically, for the last decade, it seems to have gotten nowhere.

Now, China is getting directly involved in GB and Azad Kashmir, it's CPEC investments in Pakistan have crossed $55 billion, and there are hints that Chinese military personnel are in Azad Kashmir as we speak.

China will protect its interests, and its interests are to help Pakistan against India, as India is its biggest security challenge in the region; Pakistan is also the closest ally China has, which are facts that you seem to be ignoring.

It isn't a matter of a "few billions", it is a matter of China's future economic and military expansion, and Pakistan has promised China a passage to secure it's economic and security future, through Pakistani territory.

Good luck trying to get the Chinese to back off.

China has disputes with all its neighbours ,so ?

Again i ask will china risk a war for another 25 years for just $55 billion.cpec is important for china more than pakistan, but threat to CPEC is not from India but from someone else.

Tell me bro,is it easy for china to fight a war for Pakistan and lose billions and hurt its economy in the process or to nudge Pakistan to change its policy towards India and not to support the so called non state actors in Pakistani soil and hunt them down...if you are inteligent which option will you chose.

First of all, we don't need China's involvement in an armed conflict with India. We are handling the situation perfectly well at LoC where more Indian soldiers are being killed than Pakistanis.

What Pakistan needs from China in case of war with India, is only the assistance in nullifying the blockade of Pakistani ports because we will need extra supply of oil from KSA during the conflict. Pakistan is working with Chinese navy to ensure this.

http://www.hindustantimes.com/world...histan-port/story-CvVthH3ZKLyvKYUxiMdHiM.html

China can also supply arms to Pakistan if the war prolongs. That is what we want and China will do it happily.

Both India and Pakistan cannot win a short 2-3 months war. LoC will not change much, few kilometers here and there and that's it. International borders cannot change. In a prolonged war, Pakistan is securing itself by:

1 - Supporting Kashmiris who will create a tough resistance in Indian Occupied Kashmir
2 - Securing sea routes, as noted above.
3 - Maintaining minimum deterrence capability that will ensure that the LoC doesn't change.

Pakistan doesn't have much to lose in a short or a long war with India. Our FDI is still low and foreigners will not lose too much in Pakistan. In India, the situation will be quite different. That's why when India made tall claims of conducting surgical strikes, Indian stock markets couldn't handle the situation. Imagine, there was no war, and the way markets crashed in India shows the insecurity of investors, specially foreign investors in India. Pakistani stock markets weren't bothered too much by Uri attack or the surgical strikes drama. In a full scale conflict, 75-100 missile hits on major commercial centers in India will hurt India so much that it will push India back to 90s era when all this economic activity started.

War will not go nuclear. India has a 2:1 advantage in conventional strength. In an armed conflict, China will only mobilize its Army in the south, where India and China have border conflicts, and this will force India to station a large force on that border as well. Technically, China will not be involved, however, this will be the biggest help to just troll Indians to force them to believe that China may attack to get the occupied regions of Kashmir back from India, which are rightfully Chinese. Effectively, this move of China will leave India with 1.25:1 advantage against Pakistan that is simply not enough against a professional Army and India knows this.

Now there is a 1% chance that things do not turn out for Pakistan as planned and Pakistan's sea route is blocked, and we start losing territory in a prolonged conflict of a couple of years, Pakistan will not hesitate to use its tactical nuclear weapons, inside its own borders to inflict maximum damage on Indians who have come significantly inside Pakistan. In case this doesn't change the scenario (that is highly unlikely), Pakistan will attack India with nuclear. But war reaching that stage carries only 0.001% possibility. In that scenario, both countries will suffer so much that they will have to start fresh from 1900.

India knows every bit of what I have mentioned. This is not my analysis. It's an analysis of on-duty and retired Pakistan Army officers, who also say that the same thoughts are shared by our Indian counterparts. If any Indian member has access to any Indian military strategist, he should ask him about the future conflict.

Indian Army fanboys, things are not quite the same what you are being told by your government and media. If India had the capability of overcoming Pakistan, it would have already done in late 2000s (after fake mumbai attacks). That was the best opportunity for India as Pakistan was fully involved with Indian sponsored Baloch separatists and TTP extremists.

That said, both countries will continue with their proxy war in Balochistan and Kashmir. This is the only war that is currently affordable.

Says who, not chinese minister, but a pakistani minister himself. lol

He is right though he has history to prove his point like how chinese stood by in 99, 71,65.

Pakistan will need many more for its help if at all india decides to punish it for good.

Don't need China to intervene directly. We have enough fighting men and courageous warriors to defend Pakistan from a nation more than 7× bigger than us. What we need is top of the line world class weapons systems from China. Which they would most definitely give to Pakistan. Especially now, in order to protect their billions invested there. Not to mention the Chinese strategic assets all over Pakistan. indian military high command knows this fact. That's why they were powerless to attack Pakistan after mumbai 2008. Even though we are more than 7× smaller than india and don't have access to the world's most advanced weapons systems like they do.
Why we need to attack Pakistan?? We will release our anger by surgical strikes..

Why we need to attack Pakistan?? We will release our anger by surgical strikes..

We are happy for you to release your anger by the sir g kal strikes. Please do them everyday if they make you happy.

But don't ever dear to do real surgical strikes... The ones that you did a couple of months back are perfectly fine..:D

Be happy and work for peace now after you are done with your revenge.

OK before Indians lose their minds in beating the minister up did somebody bother to read the OP.

He said according to the article that China is supporting Pakistan in all affairs related to the country's defence. Only on PDF will we hear of this as a cooperation towards Indian invasion.

A country's defence lies on many patterns. From equipment to self reliability to power projection to international politics to economical help. Yes its included. Its not just a NATO force with boots on ground.

So let's see equipment. Everybody here knows the amount of military equipment we import from China and how interested we are with Chinese planes and submarines. China fully allows us to buy these capabilities which means that its increasing our military equipment ties.

Self reliability. Everybody knows that we created a joint jet fighter JF17 which helps allows us dream self reliance in jet production. With the constant exchanges of research and development, it is indeed a great partnership

Power projection can be two fold. We are thinking about a united naval force to protect gwadar as a power projection but also the constant sphere of close relations can help project great power. For example when Osama was found in abottabad. America and india were going nuts. Shouting take the nukes and punish pakistan. It was china that clearly stated that it will not tolerate any attack on Pakistan's sovereignty and america, the great super power shutted up and as did india.

International politics. With the help of china we get considerable influence using their influence. For example our NSG and India's NSG proposal. However here we must build on our own as well which we are doing. Slowly.

Economy. You can't buy equipment you will use to defend your country, if you don't have money. Even if you produce everything at home you need money and economy. I don't think we need to talk about. Everybody knows about this.

Gentlemen however I believe them to be statements. In a war you are alone unless the interests of somebody else comes along or gets harmed and they get involved.

@That Guy

We dnt need directly help from china. we need constant supply of weapons in war from china :p:
