A hero to the nation, Someone who loved his people more than His wife and children!! The following line of a poem always made me emotional!

" fele taar mahin tuhin o mili "

one man's traitor is another man's hero,

many in the Bangladesh might consider him a hero but what contributed to all that shouldve been analyzed,
what circumstances led a professional pilot to break his Oath and do such a thing.

Because fellow Bangalis treated badly by You. It is really stupid to think that one will remain loyal even if you treat his ethnic ppl badly. You need to be wise to understand that

They had super vision. They understood after 40 years it will be a Taliban prone country and after 50 years it will be destroyed by nukes of ISIS. So they did all to protect their motherland. We are utmost thankful to them.

Well if West Pakistan has prejudice against East Pakistan, then Matiur Rehman would not be serving as a instructor in PAF and MM Alam would not set a world record. Not unarmed civilians but armed proxies of Socialist India and Soviet Union murdering West Pakistanis in cold blood, and BD's as usual willing to sell themselves to cheap conspiracy theories.

A correction is required here, not his plane but a plane he hijacked forcefully. A solider which sticks to his pledge of loyalty is worth his salt, even if that oath is given to an enemy. Everything else is written down as a treason.

It would have been heroic if he actually managed to escape alive and contribute to the war.

Height of nationalism we reached there. But sabotaged by Pakistani agents in 1975 again. Who mix politics with religion. And Bangladesh was lost for many years. Its good to see BD nationalism getting stronger.

But guess they didn't realize that their own motherland would sink in the ocean due to global warming and rising sea level. Just saying.

In any country , a professional violating his oath to defend the nation he was trained to defend by attempting to defect to a sworn enemy state he was trained to fight against is considered to be an act of treason. He didn't succeed in his plan, thanks to a courageous 20 year old kid in the cockpit. One went down as a hero another as a traitor.
 People who violated constitution are talking about oath
In any country, a ruler who refuses to handover power to the elected political entity is called a dictator and people serving under him are neither public servants nor patriots they are marcenaries, it was the main reason, people of east fought and died for constitutional rights people of west fought and died for their salary.
Motiur died but his story inspired thousands to join the fight, he died for an unborn republic of a severely persecuted ethnicity. He will be remembered till the last day of that republic. Alas, that brave 20 year old boy died for a dictator.

If this man had any heart he would let Motiur Rahman go do what he has to do.

What that traitor mutiurehman achived, how brave he was trying to hijack froma rookie pilot, look what he did to your hero, he not only sacrificed his life but sent your hero straight to hell. We will never forgot Dear Rashid minhas for your sacrfice, may almighty give you the best place in jannah.

Forget about global warming. If BD ever threatened by sea rising ' if ever ' then we can always built dam, dyke, sea wall or what necessary to protect our coastline. We have 580 km coastline and 160 million people. If each of us just put a single sandbag along coastline there you will get a sea wall all along 580 km.If netherlands can survive despite below sea level than I think Bangladesh which is above sea level can also survive.Losing land to sea is out of question for densely populated Bangladesh. BD actually reclaiming land from sea.:chilli::chilli:
