Argentina reveals talks with India on Tejas

Tejas has good chance as Argentine military loves Israeli weapons and would thus get the I-Derby-ER, Python V along with Tejas Mk1A
You seem to misunderstand. Argentina doesnt care about whether israeli weaponry is on it or not. They want ASHM which is what the jf 17 has. Cm802a or cm400akg, it outbeats what tejas offers. That paired with pl15e and pl10E, tejas is the lacking option here

The Tejas uses a Martin Baker ejection seat called the MK16 IN16 GS Tejas. Other notable British-supplied equipment on the Tejas include its air-to-air refuelling probe and quartz radome, supplied by UK-based Cobham.

Very funny joke india. Britain blocked the sale of FA-50 to Argentina and it had a single British component, the ejection seat, Tejas has 3 major British parts. And they think Argentina will be able to buy it, hilarious.

Meanwhile The JF-17 can be sold with no British parts.

Though personally I doubt Argentina will purchase either of these aircraft due to the geopolitics in play.

Have you guys noticed that these indian Frauds keeping following wherever Pakistan GOES. Pakistan was negotiating with Argentina for JF-17, and these A-Holes decided to go to Argentina !! Freaking Panjeets ! :omghaha:

Cost alone can knock out Tejas whose base cost is around 60 million. Imagine other cost being added which will further bloat its price to almost 80 million. Now compare that with 55 million for Thunders with maintenance costs included. Unless india has decided to provide Tejas at a loss then its an entirely different story. It is very much possible that India will lower tge cost of tejas to deny China/Pakistan deal for thunders.

Wrong, India offered Tejas to Malaysia for $41 million a piece!

Thats still more than the jf17.

Also loving the pfp. Shows how much you indians are truly coping on this forum :D

did they modify it so it can take off?

Even if the sub-systems don't come from their adversaries, a responsible country will think twice about this proposal. It can only be justified if the entire purchase is on favorable terms of monetary or trade credit.
Monetary favorable terms cannot be guaranteed for a system that's untested. Who is to say it won't have cost overruns to fix future unseen problems(on account of being untested)?
Argentina is cash strapped...and not only does it need favorable terms for payment of the aircraft...it also needs a tried and tested aircraft that is relatively cheap and won't be barred due to UK(and its influence). IMO Tejas isn't really an option for Argentina...unless India is willing to front the cost of swapping out UK and possibly even American supplied subsystems...and test the aircraft...
...which given the fact that doing all that is still not a guarantee of getting this Argentinian order...due to this risk...the deal is dead on arrival.

That is pure garbage. Please provide proof of your claim. That might have been the case with Tejas MK1 but not MK1A.

if it comes with british eggs and sausages incl built in electric oven i buy it

Even if they replace all British parts, IAF still does not allow HAL to export certain critical tech like LRDE developed LPI, NCTR mode for AESA radar, L-band Datalink, ASRAAM (British), future integration of SFDR.

The only thing that going to be lucrative might be the integration of BrahMos, otherwise, almost all other upgrades in Mk1A are restricted.
I think this is more about Secretaries foreign trips, rather than actual export.

I don't think till now they cleared the export variant of Mk1A from IAF and MoD. The only thing MoD cleared till now is Mk. 1.

Lacking option? Can you please give the NEZ of PL-15? Let's see how much superior weapon this is.

Chinese OEM doesn't even provide hot & cold ranges like many other foreign OEMs do. But it is good for us if PLAAF or PAF thinks it is tremendous weapon.

NEZ is classified. Though the max range of the pl15E is 145km. Pl10E being a HOBS missile with a 20km range.

Tejas is the lacking option here. Shorter range weaponry, lack of anti shipping weaponry, selling price is higher, ans on top of that its not a proven platform. It hasnt seen combat, hasnt been flown that much, hasnt been exported. Customers need confidence in what they are buying. Tejas doesnt offer any confidence.

Yes...of course...if China spends billions in researching and developing weapons...
...they end up with crap.

If India spends money to do research they end up with hyper advanced futuristic physics defying weapons...
...this can only mean one thing...only Indians have a brain...while the rest of humans are born without one.

Either that...or u r just coping hard by making claims out of thin air about some weapon(PL15 in this case) being junk...just bcuz it belongs to the enemy and they chose to keep its performance a secret.
