A trade war will cause China to truly become a great high-tech power because China will get rid of its dependence on high technology of the United States.


1) In 1950s and 1960s,United States and Soviet Union blockade atomic bombs, hydrogen bombs, and neutron bomb technology = China has independently developed its own atomic bombs, hydrogen bombs, and neutron bombs. Its technological level is not lower than that of the United States and the Soviet Union. China was leading France and became the fourth country that mastered hydrogen bomb in the world in 1967. Others include nuclear missiles, intercontinental ballistic missiles, nuclear submarines, etc.

2) China is the world leader in supercomputers. United States has prohibited Intel from selling chips for supercomputers to China. China has developed and used its own chips to build more advanced and power-efficient supercomputers (Shenwei 26010 processor).

3) United States and the West continued to block the Chinese from advanced technologys, while China independently developed high-performance carbon fiber and UVA drones,In 2017, China built the world’s first light quantum computer,High speed railway,055 destroyer,"Mozi" quantum communication satellite,Beidou Global Navigation Satellite System，the list can go on and on . . . . .

In short, the more the United States blocked, the stronger the perseverance of the Chinese will be and the greater China will become.

China will only become stronger once it completely relies on its own technological base. No doubt. China is blossoming in every field of technology. From drones to smartphones.

Speaking from Pakistan's experience, sanctions can turn into blessings as our missile system, nuclear weapons, JF17 and many other technologies that we possess today are result of the sanctions. If USA kept providing F-16s, there would be no JF-17 program.
