A glimpse at Chandrayaan-2 mission

Mark my words till next 20 years nothing gonna happen. modi knows how to keep bakht and fanatics extremist happy in India to gain popularity.

This is due next month, please forget 20 years.

What does Modi or any politician have to do with this topic? This is about ISRO and its achievements.

This is the same crap most of your countrymen were ejaculating on when mars orbiter was on it's final leg of development. Just have a look at the number of satellites we've been launching for various countries, our success on Mangalyaan mars mission in the very first attempt

Also, this is called Chandrayaan-2 for a reason since we already succeeded in Chandrayaan-1 by successfully placing a lunar probe on the moon back in 2008

Orbiter
Weight - 2,379 kg
Electric Generation Capability - 1,000 W

At the time of launch, the Chandrayaan 2 Orbiter will be capable of communicating with Indian Deep Space Network (IDSN) at Byalalu as well as the Vikram Lander. The mission life of the Orbiter is one year and it will be placed in a 100X100 km lunar polar orbit.

Lander — Vikram
Weight - 1,471 kg

Electric Generation Capability - 650 W

The Lander of Chandrayaan 2 is named Vikram after Dr Vikram A Sarabhai, the Father of the Indian Space Programme. It is designed to function for one lunar day, which is equivalent to about 14 Earth days. Vikram has the capability to communicate with IDSN at Byalalu near Bangalore, as well as with the Orbiter and Rover. The Lander is designed to execute a soft landing on the lunar surface.

Rover — Pragyan
Weight - 27 kg
Electric Generation Capability - 50 W

Chandrayaan 2's Rover is a 6-wheeled robotic vehicle named Pragyan, which translates to 'wisdom' in Sanskrit. It can travel up to 500 m (½-a-km) and leverages solar energy for its functioning. It can only communicate with the Lander.

Looks like American copy design of Apollo mission
The wheel looks circular in general and you can't redesign the wheel to make it look different and indigenous. Rovers and space orbiters are designed in a particular way for functionality, better efficiency and optimized performance along with longer life span.

This is US's curiosity mars rover

This is EU space agency's mars rover. The first pic is built by Airbus while the other is LUVMI funded by EU

and this is China's lunar rover

While this is India's Chandrayaan lunar rover and the whole project cost is only a fraction of what similar projects by other space agencies have undertaken

Can you explain how different are these from each other? Based on the terrain and atmospheric conditions, the rovers & orbiters are designed and as you see, they're all powered by solar panels. Now are you gonna claim that is a copy as well!!

Space research & exploration is not something Pak is remotely familiar with and we all know how SUPARCO has gone down the drain.

We have seen what has been happening for past couple of decades. India is no less than P5 in any aspect of strategic might.
modi knows how to keep bakht and fanatics extremist happy in India to gain popularity.
People following Dharma are extremists. And people blowing others in name of religion, enroach others' land to outnumber them to create caliphate or justifying terror attacks are some sort of peaceful beings.
our success on Mangalyaan mars rover mission in the very first attempt
Mangalyaan wasn't a rover but just an orbiter. Even Mangalyaan-2 too will be just a bigger orbiter with more payloads.

Unlike Moon, Mars has an atmosphere. We'll have to study it for 3-4 missions before actually landing there.
Looks like American copy design of Apollo mission.

Anyways best of luck.
Every rover has wheels and chasis. You belong to same group of people who can't differentiate between a missile and space rocket.

This three wheel model of rover with shockers has its origins in Soviet Lukhod moon rover (not American Mars rover) and same design is used by most (spacefairing) countries around world.

Making a robotic cart to rove over terrain of foreign planet isn't a technological challenge for any country. Sending it to space, communicating with it, inserting in orbit and landing safely is. Here, India is landing on far side of moon where no American or Soviet mission has ever gone.
