atleast zia performed better than bhutto in terms of economic progress

but zia let india take siachen for which i dont regard him very highly although he made soviets pay for 1971

In Oman, I heard from Oman, in last 100 years only one day Oman's flag went lower then anyother countries. That was when General Zia-ul-Haq visited Oman. He was the one who shows the whole world that their is a country "Pakistan" in the world, before that no-one even knew about Pakistan. May be his step "Marshal Law" was wrong about one person. But as a nation Pakistan, he made Pakistan who can speak directly into the face of USA and have the demand. "Musharaf" or any other "Democratic" winner couldn't do it, even not "NS" who got 2/3 majority in Parliament in 1997. In 1984-1987 operation, even USA was fully involved in the region, but Zia didn't allow them to enter the region. And whole operation was with ISI.

He made Afghanistan literally a second state of Pakistan and if he were alive by 1996, that would have become. And we would never see USA in this region which made mess today in Pakistan. Also, he bring Khomani and Shah Fahd more closer, when he died there were millions who were crying.
