Yes thanks. Seems like F-7P pitot tube at the near end.

Post 1497 by shabi clearly shows 5 JFT. If you guys remember the initial news, it was of induction of 5 JFTs in the CCS. This is a pitot tube from an adjacent plane just like there is another one from the Mirage at the far end. if you look carefully at the picture you can see the IFR on the Mirage also covered with a red cover. Another thing is IFR has a valve at its end which makes it a bit bulbous at the tip unlike a pitot tube which gets finer as one gets to the tip.

Sir are you saying they are BLOCK II

What environment control system are they referring to here? Is it the OBOG system? I believe the previous one was French and had a capacity to supply/condition oxygen for 3 hours? Are we expecting any improvements in range/loiter time that a improved capacity OBOG is needed?

They cant be. There numbers which have now been revealed suggest that they have been withdrawn from various units. These are bl.1s but whether upgraded or not I dont know

Not just the OBOGS, the avionics on board also have requirements for cooling.

What kind of refrigerant is used for cooling system?
Also any idea what is used for vapor mitigation in the fuel tanks for Jf17.

I don't think Thunder has OBOGS till now..and i don't think block 2 will have it either...Its actually the need of time now...Cylinders take up space and have a lot of weight...while OBOGS takes a little space and a few pipes and ducts..thats all...What say you ?

Honestly the Iraqis needs can be fulfilled with the jf 17s. Don't see them going to war against their neighbors in the next two decades. The 17s can take on anything the Iranians have anyway.
