Alice Wells is trying hard to woo Imran Khan...

I see that generally the view on this forum is pessimistic. When you see "old hands" from San Fran displaying Old Glory; yet using words like 'deception' & 'deceit' for their adopted homeland - well it hurts a little bit. So looking past all that acrimony, I hope readers/members here recognize...

Gallup chief rubbishes misconceptions about CPEC

Purchasing power is fine but will come later on in the development cycle. The first immediate goal that China has already achieved with/for Pakistan is to change the negative "narrative" that was gathering critical mass in the international community, i.e. "Pakistan is a basket case, look...

Meeting with Biden high point of Pakistan's COAS visit

There is no doubt that the Pk Mil Chief had a superb 5 days inside the beltway. It was quite well executed by his team. Just the right amount of PR exposure and no ‘gotcha’ comments-stupendous as it may be ‘tis just a single visit in a continuum. Nevertheless it was helpful in getting all DC...

Pakistan suspects U.S. illegally cut down trees in its capital

You know the Founding Father of our Great Nation chopped down a cherry tree in his youthful indiscretion. Perhaps someone wanted to emulate him in Islo......?!

JF-17 Thunder Multirole Fighter [Thread 6]

Many Congratulations to Pakistan, PAC-K, and all forum brothers for your spectacular crossover from "have-nots"" to "haves" in the aviation industry. Your Parisian Splash has not gone unnoticed. Reeling in a launch customer so soon is impressive. Pakistan may end up having Thunder project...

Routes to Central Asia being constructed, says Nawaz

I am flummoxed to see lack of consensus on this key issue here. Backgrounder: There is a great deal to say about this "Belt and Road" (BAR) / CPEC. This is Pakistan’s Suez Canal and more. This mammoth undertaking requires detailed analysis - perhaps another day :D. Within Pakistan there is a...

Give & take : After KSA request Pak devising its own wish list

TMI? Oops. My aim was to discuss a broadened template of talking points for Paks as they negotiate with their close ally. As it has been appreciated by them so I may not be in your world but I seem to have achieved my aim. "All this" as you put it, is not mere division strength Pak grunts...

Give & take : After KSA request Pak devising its own wish list

Thanks much! With that particular point; I was primarily sensitizing Pak policy wonks to see the quantum of wealth being shifted from GCC to India. That per se is a node in leverage matrix. GCC does not have to "expel" a few million Indians to help Pakistan. Pakistan can insist that for every...

Leon Panetta "Worthy Fights" about Ops Neptune spear

The truth, the complete & unvarnished truth about OBL/Op. Neptune Spear is not out thus far. Those who know are not yet writing books.

What's wrong with US Cobra Helis?

There is nothing wrong with Cobras. AH-I H \S are vintage Cobras no longer in active US inventory. US marines prefer Cobras over Apaches, whereas US Army uses Apaches. Zulus are twin-engined and can carry a huge payload, many variety of munitions (i.e., Hellfire, rockets, AIM-9s). They are...

Give & take : After KSA request Pak devising its own wish list

I cannot vouch for the figure (i.e. 40 Billion) but Egyptians are widening the Suez, planning a new port city on the Med. and buying a great deal of hardware. The scope of Egyptian military's imagination is much broader than real estate. BTW their Dassault deal is once again in jeopardy.
