IRGC missile attack on ISIS in Deir ez-Zor Syria

look like our 6 ballistic missile were more effective than USA 56 tomhawks ....
"Tactical" ballistic missiles. And yes, they each carry a much bigger punch than cruise missiles.

But I think there is another side to it that we are all forgetting and that is the amazing intelligence gathering job that has been done behind the scene that made all this possible. I think this part is not any easier than hitting the target from 700 km away.

At least 50 isis commanders and fighters were killed in the missile strike including 6 confirmed Libyan commanders.

Abo Asim al-libie(the Libyan) and Abdul-Qader Al-Farrani also known as Abo Harith were among the dead commanders!

Not to forget the already announced dead senior commander Saad al Husainy also known as Abo Saad who is a Saudi national!
Thanks for the update.

Where did you hear the names and numbers? Is there any published source?

This was from Arabic al-Mayadeen pro-resistance tv channel according to an Iranian source!

Brothers, you have to put in mind that intelligence gathering, coordination between missile and intelligence units in 2 provinces in Iran and the aerospace unit in Syria and selecting the right mean of targeting and the right munition in just a few days shows very exceptional capabilities that only 2 or 3 countries have!

After that the mission is not over yet, intelligence forces will then evaluate the strike and to what extent was it successful and assess the damage implemented in the chosen targets and get any damage and casualties update!

Conflicting reports seem to be popping up on the amount if missiles that hit their intended target.

If I'm not mistaken, doesn't the drone footage show different strikes? Not just one from different angles?

(I know it's an Israeli source but just keep an open mind).

Israelis are really scared of the attacks ... Regime publishing false news to ease the pain a little !

Not surprised ... Expected !

Because most Israeli peoples are so scared that if any possible conflict going to happen they will leave if they know that Iranian missiles are so accurate. :)

We can target important places like power plants without nuclear warheads ...

It's better for them to leave Palestine and find a better place !

They can take a part of Germany instead !

IRGC killed Daesh rats in syria and Jews of Tel Aviv are getting their panties twisted ? connection ?

Reports are that some Saoodi bigwig and libyan commanders of ISIS in Der-ez-zor have been neutralized.

Zolfaghar has been tested in battle now. Makes me wonder if Zolfaghar-2 or some other better longer range evolution of Fateh Family is being developed. Zolfaghar has a guided separated RV with CEP ~30 m and it has a depressed apogee. With an atypical warhead it can wipe out enemies in masses.

Makes me wonder why IRGC dint use shelved Shahab-3 instead.

Easy cowboy... Don't make this thing about Israel-Palestine. BTW, you'll need to wait for the postmortem: How effective was this power display? How accurate were the missiles? Will this attack achieve its tactical as well as strategic objectives? What were the military vs. political aims? As of right now this was simply a demonstration of capability.
BTW, JDW is reporting that the missiles which were fired use commercial/civilian grade GPS. I know for sure these devices are not as accurate as the military grade ones. Any thoughts any one?

I don't understand how trolls are not banned right away on this forum ? Constantly we see wannabe trolls trying to derail serious threads and nothing is done.

From the high number of deaths, it seems that intelligence waited and waited for such meeting to actually happen, like they must gather at one point and then missile command was given the nod. Western allies do not have that kind of leverage. This shows how in depth alliance Iran has in the region. Militarily and even politically Iran, Iraq, Syria are a single ENTITY now. Brothers in arms ...

May be someone will agree with me on this but I think Shahab series has been shelved as reserved arsenal because IRGC has better weapons at disposal now. Separating GRV solid fueled composite bodied Quasi BM and G-MaRV (in case of Emad) etc are there so why use 90s Shahab-3. When this news came of missile strikes by Iran I thought of Shahab-3C immediately. Zolfaghar was a surprise and shows the confidence IRGC showed in this newest member of Fateh family. I think we are witnessing a big shift in Iranian Missile program here. Solid fueled and separating GRV are what enemies will face now instead of Liquid fuel conventional inertial stablised BMs. Political scenario may push Iran for a test of GRV mounted Sejjil-2 IRBM in future.

I've seen 4 sources that have reported that most of our missiles missed. All 4 sources were Israeli newspapers. I don't think this was a coincidence. They're lying for domestic consumption. Even if one out of six hit it's target, it's still a win. Israelis need to make their enemies look weak or stupid because it's their tactic to buck up their cowardly ranks....they're only used to killing unarmed civilians. Last time they went up against someone even remotely trained was the rag-tag Hezbollah fighters in Lebanon...and they got their asses handed to them.
