Pak Army determined to promote education in Balochistan: Kayani

QUETTA, June 7 (APP) - Chief of the Army Staff (COAS), General Ashfaq Pervez Kayani said here on Monday that Pak Army was wholeheartedly assisting Balochistan government to promote education in the province. He was talking to the parents of the students during his visitat a Chamalang boy’s hostel established by Pak Army for the youth ofBalcohistan Commander Southern Command Lieutenant General Javed Zia and other officials were also present on the occasion.

“Keeping in view the backwardness of the Balochistan, Pak Army is determined to help out the province by providing assistance in various fields including education”, he said.
He noted that measures were being placed for the boost up of the education sector of the province, adding army was providing all possible financial support to the poor competent youth hailing from far-flung areas of Balochistan for studying in standard educational institutes in the country.
About 350 students are currently housed in the Chamalang boy’s hostel so far and Army would incur all expenditure for the completion of their studies, Army Chief maintained.
He urged the parents to cooperate with the Army and send their children in such institutions which would yield positive result on the overall development of the province, besides it would also improve the life standard of the people of Balcohistan.

these words should be coming out of the mouth of president or prime minister , and not the military chief.

Ok, so now you have the cheeks to troll in the very second post.

Try to find out something about 'Chamalang' and may be then you can think straight.

They are busy in filling their pockets, so not available for such endeavors.

Kindly excuse them. :smokin:

Good move by Pak Army, and thanks to Kiyani. It would be a pleasure if Army could start Reconstruction works in Pashtun Areas especially North and South Waziristan.

I see lot of heart burning!!!!!!! over the social work carried out by army.

Historicaly, Balauch govt. kept Balauchis away from education.... Both BB and Sharif paid lot of money to bugti and mengals to ensalve Balauch people.
Seems like army finally busted the gang rape fo Balauchistan by the hands of so called political leaders.

Swati Bhai, in which world are you living ??? :taz:

Army already doing lot of things for the IDPs of SW and has already started development work for the SW area.

NW is yet spared as there is no operation going on there.

But wherever army is doing operations, they are doing relief work as well as social uplifting work.

Schools, water, roads, solar power electricity, parks etc are some of the activities so far taken in many of the militant infected areas.

Zardari may not agree...

This would amount to handing over re-construction funds to army and this would limit the corrupt chances of politicians.

Bat, though your are correct to some extent but then these were the realities of the past. Today things have changed. The Pathans and Baloch of Balochistan now know who they are and what do they want. They are no more blinded by the fairy tales of sardars and they exactly know their rights and needs.

Education is the most important thing in this scenario and the Army in consultation with the civilian govt is damn serious about the provision of education to Balochis (the residents of Balochistan) especially for kids from those far flung areas where it was not possible for the govt to reach with all those shiny cars. both because of miscreant activities and also because they were so remote that it was not possible to access them with ease.

Chamalang Project is a success story and it has helped enhance not only the living standards of people but have also provided them with the very vital and basic necessity - the quality eduction.

Yes mayn, Ive noticed what you mentioned above too, and we Swatis took it to the heart when Army started relief works such as solar power, parks, roads etc. Its a great achievement for Army.

The thing is I don't trust the government with money funding's we get from outer countries, It would be a pleasure to see army having full control over this particular matter.

Great move by Pak Army for the social uplift of the people of Balauchistan. Balauch people should send their people to such institutions for the bright and prosporous future of their childeren.

Further, its also responsibility of Federation and Provincial governments to ensure law and order in the Province, once law and order is restored, business activities will increase and investment will come which will ultimately benefit the people of the Province
