China, Pakistan to deploy warships to safeguard Balochistan port

Indian has poor analysis that cannot think of bigger picture. That is why Indian is always behind China :enjoy:

Indians were laughing when China announced CPEC
Indians were laughing when we were saying that neighboring countries are showing interest
Indians were laughing when we were near completion
Indians were laughing when we inaugurated the first shipment
Indians were laughing when PLAN and PN decided to jointly petrol the Arabian sea
Indians ARE laughing when you are saying that PLAAF squadron will be deployed
Indians ARE laughing when European countries are also taking interest CPEC

I think it's nothing to do with CPEC or their incompetency to judge the situation. It's just that there is an abundance of laughing gas in India.

Okkk. You just gave one more reason to Uncle Sam to station one more CBG in region. Smart :o:

Sir, I have a question and I've been thinking about it. How the hell did you people mess it up so bad on the CPEC? Who can really think they can stop or "destroy" a national project between many nations and a project that a country considers its lifeline? When there is national resolve, you can't eliminate it by some bombs and gunfire attacks. This is a serious question and I am not a troll. I thought you guys were very good at planning, how did such a big gap take place?

Also, whether the US deploys 1 CBG or 5, I know our Naval doctrine. That deployment is only for protection of sea-lanes. The Russians and the Chinese will deploy their asses for the same reason. The US is also going to join the CPEC at some point as Mr. Trump's already ordered for a feasibility. So that leaves ONLY India behind. And that is where I am going "what were you guys thinking"? This was such a great opportunity for you also. Thanks

Sir, you are right on the spot. I, in fact, just asked an Indian member the same question. How the hell did they miscalculated such a big opportunity that would've helped them tremendously in terms of trade. It does seem like they are just "laughing" and soon it will be "laughing at themselves". So its China, Russia, the UK, France, Germany, Australia, Italy, Spain, Turkey and soon the US will join too. And who is out is India.

Is that a true example of "self imposed Isolation"?? Thanks

American drones in air, and chinese ships in water.
Good going for a soverign country.

Sir, I didn't understand your post's true meaning. But if this was an innuendo towards Pakistan, remember, there will soon be dozens of billions of dollars going to the public too, it is much easier to raise a smaller country's middle class than a country with the size of India. Pakistanis will enjoy a better quality of life compared to their Indian friends in the next ten years as the populated gets extended out to the CPEC related routes, all construction will be brand new and with top notch infrastructure. Thanks

Man you just nailed it....

It was always going to be a base for PLAN at gawadar. But TBH, I wasn't expecting Chinese to be that quick.

Indian activities led to this decision, they sent sub and also conducted terror activities in Baluchistan, China can't allow that and it will take time to increase surface fleet size of PN, with Type-52C & Type-54A it will be very difficult for IN CBG to launch Mig-29K aggressively, PN should deploy MRTP-33, MILIGEM or similar/better ships with PLAN to keep IN away from Baluchistan.

How about Type 057 which China offered at IDEAS :D :D

Type-57 is Frigate and it will have competition from Istanbul class and may be some other ship to be future FFG of PN.

Edit.

You can't use Frigates for peace time patrol to safeguard EEZ and port, FAC & Corvette are better and economical and they also have lower signature too.

Sir, You obviously don't understand the Western mindset. We only go to war when there is a reason. If there is too much profit in an idea, we'll invest and kill two birds with one stone, i.e. be there ourselves and reap serious cash as profit, and also have working partnerships and leverage over others by working together.

I don't know if you cared to research this issue properly. But the Britain is hell bent in joining this project (their foreign sec. was in Pakistan just two days ago kissing rears for it), and so are the French, Germans, Australia, Italy and Spain already have memorandum of understanding on various fields.

Last but not least, our great Mr. Trump's one of the few economic growth initiative and orders included "researching and building a feasibility report on how the US can join the one belt, one road initiative". I just did a quick search and you can do yours too, I heard this news on CNN a couple of weeks ago. Thanks

They Can Start By Sending Ships From New York Via Suez Gwadar Route to China.(alt To Panama Canal)

Also
China Imports From Africa Middle East and Europe Via CPEC (Alt To Straits Of Malacca)

Pipeline From Saudia Via Oman To China On CPEC(Alt. to Strait of Hormuz)

Turkish+EU+ Caucasus Transit Trade Through Iran Gwadar Route(Alt. to Suez Canal As Well As Circumnavigationg South Africa)

In This Way CPEC Neutralises 4 Major Chokepoints Of International Trade :pakistan::pakistan:

China will deploy its naval vessels in coordination with the Pakistan Navy to safeguard the Gwadar port in Balochistan and trade under a bilateral trade corridor, according to a media report on Friday.

Besides the joint deployment of warships, Pakistan is considering the purchase of super-fast vessels from China and Turkey for a special squadron to be positioned at Gwadar to secure the deep sea port, an unnamed Pakistan Navy official was quoted as saying by The Express Tribune.

“A squadron may have four to six warships,” the official said on the sidelines of the IDEAS 2016 defence exhibition in Karachi.

The super-fast vessels would be “bought soon” in view of their immediate need in the fleet and two warships had already been deployed at Gwadar, the official said.

The role of Pakistan’s maritime forces had increased since the country made Gwadar operational and expedited up economic activities under the $46-billion China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC), the official said.

India has for long expressed concerns about the Chinese Navy’s involvement in the Gwadar port, which is at the heart of the CPEC.

The Tribune quoted another unnamed naval official as saying that Pakistan has kicked off the process of establishing the region’s largest shipyard at Gwadar. A similar ship-building project is being considered for Port Qasim in Karachi.

The two advanced shipyards will design and develop ships and other security equipment for the Pakistan Navy.

“The existing shipyard, the Pakistan National Shipping Corporation, lacks capacity to meet new requirements of the force. Its (PNSC) performance, however, would improve in competition with the two under consideration,” he said.

The PNSC will hand over a large fleet tanker being built in collaboration with Turkey to the Pakistan Navy.

WTF......No foreign navy no matter what should be allowed in Pakistani waters for deployment.....We are not a pet state of anyone and are capable of defending ourself....:pakistan:
So this move by Pakistan is pure ludicrous..............

If it is than i am glad that India also believes in this stupidity because you do have a 5000KM missile No?
No...Indian requirement of 5000 KM missile is absolutely making sense...also Agni 5 has nothing to do with nuclear sub...so not sure why you are mixing them...b/w it would be plain stupid for India to have a 10K missile in her arsenal...as that would not match our threat perception, power projection or economic clout...i hope you get the drift this time...

I wasnt talking about Agni 5, i know its for China, i think the missile is called Surya and its intended range is more than 5000 kms and it would be deployed within Indian subs.

Brother, Pakistan has enemies that lurk around every corner including the drunk mulvis within. I can only hope for the best....however, i am afraid being a Muslim (nuclear) state with the potential of a global great power (based purely on the intellectual capability and if unhinged form mulvi cancer) is enough a reason to destabilize and obliterate Pakistan if they could....just as Iraq/Libya/Syria/Turkey/Afghanistan/Saudi/Yemen/Egypt etc. etc.

What I have written a year and two months ago :

"You see, the center of these routes are the Gwadar port. Looking at the above graph, it is very natural that not only you but also your Chinese partners also need a very capable and effective PN. This part of the IOR will be very vital to China once CPEC gets fully functional. So I wouldn't surprise if you allow the Chinese Navy permanent basing in Pakistan. Coastal defense, territorial defense at sea you name it, it's done under A2/AD*(Anti-access/area-denial) if it's your mainland. In some sort of the naval A2/AD, there's a classification of defensive layers."
