Well come up with one yourselves then! China, Russia and Pakistan, a similar agreement.
As for the pact itself, I do believe the US and there isn't much in it, but there are other things which are more of a concern for Pakistan i.e. help with weapon's systems.

You just used overwhelming geographical disparity to your advantage jn 1971.

That advantage is long gone.

Afghanistan is struggling to survive Taliban onslaught while Iran won't support you against Pakistan because of various reasons.

what industrial base in the South ??

Calcutta, Madras and Bombay were ruled by the British for 200-300 years. The exposure to British practice/culture/influence was the key. A lot of scientists/bureaucrats came from these regions

In 1971 you involved yourself in a civil war, Bangladesh continues to be a muslim majority state as per partition

The fact you think you need to "gang up" on a country 7 times smaller than you kind of says it all

What is there to be apprehensive about? The writing was clear as day light. If our leadership failed to realize it (No surprise there) its not the US fault. US will look for its interest and we should be worried about ours. Lets start by giving them a cold shoulder in Afghanistan.
