Bangladesh is losing the battle against terror: WSJ

Would you mind explaining to us why he is an idiot? Can you share with us the reasons behind your outbursts.

He was condoning a military government which put the leader of the biggest political party behind the bar for more than 20 years and whose president openly asked his countrymen to be expelled to a 3rd country. He was condoning a country which made a million as good as animal. Who is the bigger idiot than this kind of soul.

They are welcome to stop that donation.90 percent money of our budget comes from internal sources.8 percent foreign loan and only 2 percent foreign aid,not all of which are western.I don't know how much money NGO get from western donation, but NGO's are a minor player in socio-economic development in BD.Most of the NGO money goes back to western countries or to the pockets of NGO bosses and employees.

So, you think BD can do without foreign economic support. The domestic budget is quite different in nature. It does not cover the foreign loans, credits or donations. Note the titles of news below:

1) Japan signs largest ever loan agreement with Bangladesh
2) Japan to offer Bangladesh Tk 128 billion in loan for 6 projects
3) To know about tens of ADB funded projects pls. click the link. We should not brag about something that we do not have.
http://www.adb.org/projects/bangladesh

Pls. learn more about a or any country's national development economics. BD is a poor and underdeveloped country that needs billions of dollars of foreign assistance. So-called 90% self-sufficient BD budget makes you happy, but it is nothing but to cover expenses on running the administration and for a very few and minor labor intensive projects.

All these loan will have to eventually repay with the budget money. Your statement about budget not covering the foreign loan, credit or grant is not correct. These are the source of 10 percent money of budget and have to repay on later date..Govt. take the responsibility for any bi-lateral(Japan) or international creditor like world bank or IMF loan.Otherwise how they will extract their money? Will they establish any parallel tax upon the common people? At current fiscal year Bangladesh will spent Tk.351 billion to repay the loan taken in earlier years.Japan have signed a big loan agreement with BD you have mentioned, but that doesn't mean we don't have to repay them at many installment for many years in future with budget money.

Only that 2 percent foreign grant in budget or NGO donation are the free money coming in BD we don't need to repay.Do you have knowledge of any other sources of free money? If any, feel free to share.

We are taking billion's of foreign loan doesn't implies that we can't develop without them.We have one of the lowest tax to GDP ratio in the world. If we increases 10 percent efficiency to collect tax than we can eliminate the need of foreign loan we are currently taking. It can be done if there is a determination.Japan developed without taking foreign loan.In entire Japanese history they take only one loan during construction of their biggest infrastructure project namely Honshu-Hokkaido tunnel. But Japan repaid that loan far earlier than the agreed time period. With that exception they developed without any foreign loan.It is not impossible in case of BD either.

Talking big does not make a country big. Go to the PM and tell her what you are saying here.

Pakistan, India and Bangladesh should try and cooperate in counter terrorism matters.
That's something never gonna happen lad. Maybe India and Bangladesh but Pakistan will never cooperate with India and vice versa.

These are not big talk. You seems to have lack of gasps about basic knowledge about BD economy. At first you claimed BD is doomed if foreigner stop giving loan to Bangladesh. When I told, foreign loan and grants are small part of our budget then you talked about how foreigners are giving billion dollars of loan which are out of scope of budget earning or expenditure, for which I showed that no foreign debt is above the scope of budget, after which you started accusing me of big talk.Go study some fact about external debt of Bangladesh. We have one of the lowest debt to GDP ratio in the world. We are not as debt dependent as you are deluding yourself.Your bad attitude towards Bangladesh is too obvious from your post.We don't need a rootless looser to remind us whether Bangladesh is big or small.

Never say never, the UK and France were sworn enemies but we have learnt to cooperate.

Not condoning it. Just saying that the West exaggerates and uses condescending tone for developing world....including how they viewed Burmese junta (as though B'desh JEI connection to BNP was somehow more morally acceptable).

Just because sometimes it lines up with your own outlook on the matter doesn't take away from how the western media operates in general.

Now enjoy them working with Aung San Suu Kyi (and we all know her views on Rohingya and Muslims). The butthurt from you will be quite visible I bet....with Myanmar growing like it is now.

So don't be so surprised when the West uses the same tone in describing Bangladesh and its terrorism situation.

Religion was not playing any role in France-UK relationship although France is Catholic and UK is Protestant. In case of our sub-continent it is also religion that plays a role in the making of relationship.

You are a jello and feel good where ever a muslim is in difficluties. It is due to the slavery that you were subjected to for more than 1000 years.
Myanmar grows or not grows matters us less as long as they dont send 100's of thousands of refugee in our border. It is a matter to you as you had been under 1000 years of slavery which made you think that way. Anything better than you will make you burn.

Yah whatever you want to say you can. Enjoy being under our thumb now little man....and dreaming of the bygone years for a religion that never originated in your swamp to begin with but you were weak enough to acquiesce to and feel your ancestors choice of conversion means you were/are less of a slave than those that didn't (when in fact it shows the opposite especially since you keep large parts of the slave culture intact in your own).

We see it daily in how Bangladeshis are treated in their brother ummah countries in the Middle East even though they are same "religion" as you...its source even. Maybe you should stop calling your days of the week after the gods of those you call slaves for a start?

Anyway in the world at large, the perception is changing from lack of interest/ignorance in Bangladesh to fear of engaging with Bangladesh...because of your ignorance and self induced importance which distracted you from your clear terrorism cancer that was developing.

Maybe such headlines in WSJ need to happen just to teach twits like you a lesson.

Myanmar - India relations zindabad.

Rohingya refugee camps are a breeding ground of militancy. This matter should be urgently tackled by the GoB. The govt people should also know the true history how and when Muslims started to inhabit in Arakan. It is certainly not recent. Otherwise, the refugees would have gone back to their respective villages and houses, which did not happen that way. This proves they are not from BD.

These Muslims went to Arakan (not Myanmar) in 1340 when Bengal Sultan Ghiyasuddin Azam Shah sent their military ancestors to accompany with the legal but ousted Buddhist King of Arakan and restore him to his throne. So, it is almost 700 yrs. back that the Rohingyas settled in Arakan.

Arakan was not a part of Myanmar. Burma annexed it only in 1784 and in 1826 it was taken over by the British Bengal. After a period this land was incorporated with the Burma Union to make it easy to administer.

Now, Myanmar is calling Arakan's native people foreigners. This is ridiculous. But, the GoB is unable to speak about the episode I wrote because they may be unaware of it, and India is making the water more murky by associating with the evil Myanmar on the issue.
