India to arm Afghan Army to take on Pak after Torkham incident?

essential Pakistani logic. if somebody shoots at you you think it is great because the shooter is out a bullet.
if he doesn't shoot at you you think it is great because your making a dragon face must have scare him off

If India wasn't scared then why not face us yourselves, why would you need to use Afghanistan? And if you on't shoot at all, yes that makes you feared. That isn't Pakistani logic, that's common logic.

face you for what? forget scared, India actually will help you guys develop if only you will stop the jihadi nonsense

We will stop supporting militants in Kashmir when you stop supporting militants in Baluchistan and KPK, and you give Kashmir a referendum. Do that, then we will no longer support militancy within India.

Afghans have a history of turning their back against those who actually support them in need. Let India arm Afghan Army and they will see one day that the supplied arms will be used against their own land.

hatred will grow among taliban if india provides weapons.people will see in future what will happen to indian consulates after uncle SAM leaves.
80% of afghanistan still is under talibans control

Oh I don't think Indian's really care about that kind of nonsense. They have already fixed you good and real, which is why they just flip it to you whenever some Pakistani official starts crying for 'talks'.

Na,, that's not what I am talking about. Your jihadi nuts are killing hundreds every week around the globe - any bomb blast anywhere in the world first suspicion is the terrorist is a Pakistani, second - did the guy visit Pakistan to get radicalized ...and so on. Ingrate attitude towards us that have been giving billions in aid has really cheesed people world over off.

If Pakistan wants to gain any respect as a responsible nation it has to swear of such tactics for its own sake. Otherewise the best you can hope for is the continued largesse from us, and China ofcourse.

Is that what you want for your country?

Any bomb blast around the world the suspect is Pakistani? What the actual f*ck are you talking about? Are you that thick? The usual suspects are Arabs, do you even watch the news? When it comes to where they went to get radicalised, the suspect is usually Syria. If you think it's Pakistan, you are either lying and you know it, or you don't watch the news at all.

If you want respect from us, give Kashmir it's freedom. Don't blame us when the people there rise up and butcher you occupiers.

Taliban's dont control 80% Afghanistan

The Area in white is Taliban controlled
And we will contribute to fund Ansf to takle the Taliban

There is no thing such as freedom movement or occupation..those are Pakistani stooges and there life is very short..Kashmir will always be Indian

Give them something they can use in caves in first day of war with Pakistan they run like rats to hide mountain's holes.

What will this magical Indian support achieve that Uncle Sam, with its reputation and treasury, could not?

Second, this Indian arrogance is really cute. The US needs to prop India up as a regional counter-weight to China, and for that reason ignores India's continued use of terrorists in the region. Pakistan has a long-term strategy in Afghanistan to protect its interests (i.e. Eastern Border) that will likely outdo both American and Indian designs, despite spending considerably less resources. All we need is a little patience.

Just got back from Afghanistan two days ago (or, what I call the Citadel of Kabul) --- after over a trillion dollars spent, it doesn't inspire much confidence.

tut tut. such foaming is expected from people like you who have no factual basis for denying the charge and resort to dramatics. shoo.

ISLAMABAD : Indian war veterans and strategic analysts have said India should supply heavy military equipment to the Afghan armed forces, including tanks and field artillery.

In an Op-Ed published in New Indian Express newspaper, Maj. Gen. (Retd) G D Bakhshi, said ” Rapidly do capacity building of the Afghan army, so that it has a military edge over the Taliban and can defend its territory against Pakistan’s incursions.”

The Retired Indian Army General further added that India should “Complete the Chabahar-Zaranj-Delaram road and beltway via Iran. Till then, supply tanks, artillery guns, attack helicopters and trainer jets via Russia.”

“Once the Chabahar beltway opens up, it can supply large numbers of T-54/T-55 tanks and 105 mm field guns lying in our depot stocks and salvage yards,” Gen. Bakhshi added.

The Op-Ed by Gen. Bakhshi was published days after a bloody clash erupted among the Afghan and Pakistani forces in Torkham over the construction of border gate by the Pakistani forces.

Harshly criticizing the Pakistani step to seal the Durand Line which has not been accepted as formal border line by Afghanistan, Gen. Bakhshi raised the issue of the Afghan militant groups sanctuaries in Pakistan, including the Taliban group leadership.

Pakistan insists that the step to construct gates along the crossings and fencing the Durand Line is an attempt by the country’s security forces to prevent the movement of the terrorists.

However, the Afghan officials insist on a regional fight against the terrorist groups, including the steps to be taken against the leadership councils of the Taliban and Haqqani Network.

This is not the first time that voices have been raised in India of equipping Afghan Army. In the Afghanistan – India strategic Partnership agreement of 2011, equipping and training of Afghan National Security Forces ANSF was included.

The supply of 4 Military Attack Mi -25 Helicopters from India to Afghanistan is the manifestation of the same ideology which is being developed in the Indian Military and Strategic circles.

India has already helped Afghanistan in acquiring 10,000 Ak-47 Assault Rifles Kalashankovs from Russia in order to boost the ANSF counter insurgency capability.

India is already training over 1000 officers of ANSF annually in the Indian Military and Intelligence Academies and now the strategists are convincing the government that time is ripe for equipping the Indian trained Afghan Army officers against Pakistan on the western front.

The recent incidence at Torkham border over the dispute of constructing gate within Pakistan’s own territory depicts the changing mindset of the Indian trained Afghan Army officers who resorted to brutal firing at Pakistan Army at the borders.

India feeling frustrated after being left out from the Quadrilateral Contact Group ( QCG ) and Afghanistan being frustrated after losing over 5,000 Afghan Army soldiers at the hands of Afghan Taliban in a single year are resorting to such acts of desperation in order to hide their failures.

Strategic analysts in Pakistan are observing the National Directorate of Security NDS and Indian Research and Analysis Wing RAW collaboration now transforming into an open military alliance in the name of countering terrorism in the region.

Billi ko cheechray k khuwab, na to yeh IPL hai or na tera homeground, na teri cheap movie... yeh real world ha jahan tum log phatto ho or doosron k pechay chupay rehta ho or kutta ki tarah maray jatay ho

It will be strategic mistake of highest order to undertake arming Afghans against Pak. Warlords and strongman society is ungovernable.

Apart from short term benefits like this unprovoked border firing nothing substantial is going to come out of it. The real game is to ignite Balochistan. The rest is distraction by the India.

What will be the counter moves by the CPEC establishment? The constant and growing pressure is going to continue from the eastern player. Indian strategist calculate the strategic window to be max 5 years... after that facts on the ground would change if economy and stability of their western neighbour is enhanced.

From Indian perpective a weaker western neighbour is prerequsite for breaking out of South Asia and challenge China in Asia and beyond. Whoever controls the Asian sphere is bound be the next super power.

Since there is no credible central government in Pak chances of India achieving strategic objectives is quite high.

However, will China sit idle and let elephant in a Must strample its strategic advantages? Time will tell...
