Many Afghans See Their Future with India, Not Pakistan

You have a good point -- What I think I should have meant was either publish the results of the survey this guy talks about OR even conduct an independent scientific survey and report on its results.

That would have been a better approach.
The problem is that Afghanistan today is war zone with too many actors involved. and as they say "in a war, truth is the first casualty". So it's very difficult to ascertain who is telling what and why.

The Western world has a very sophisticated and well developed information/propaganda networks and they are all involved in Afghanistan thus the picture coming out of Afghanistan is very distorted, even surveys conducted are suspect in such environment. As you yourself will know, an Afghan will always tell you what he thinks you want to hear.
On another level a Farsiban from Kabul thinks and speaks completely different from a Pashtun from the Kandahar countryside. So geographical spread also becomes very important.

Still I greatly appreciate that you didn't start blind attacks on me when I questioned what you have posted. The normal approach one come to expect from majority people in here.

Hindustan the same nation that was allied with Russia who destroyed Afghaistan. By the way how many Afghan refugees did India take?

Many Afghans who wish ill will against Pakistan are those same refugees that we have hosted.

Many even have gotten education in our institutions.

This is a serious national security issue.

One that our leaders both in the military and those in political parties have ignored because of this misplaced Muslim brotherhood.

Afghans are the only nation on earth who want to completely destroy Pakistan.

I think our own @Sher Malang is a case in point -- @Sher Malang, any comment?

It would be prudent to bear in mind kinship ties. I think there needs to more education regarding the benefits of heightened border checks in the FATA region, so the local tribesmen understand that it is not about cutting ties but having more security as Afghan based terrorists groups use the porous border freely. This would be beneficial to all concerned.

Without security we are doomed. It is no secret that the porous Afghan border is a huge security problem. Afghan based terror outfits and other anti-Pak elements operate from this porous border to infiltrate and spread terror. The kinship argument doesn't hold in such an instance. We need to choose and quickly. Security or a porous border with severe consequences.

On a different note, since Afghans prefer a better relation with India they have nothing to look for in Pakistan. They need to stop coming to Pakistan and put money where their mouth is by relocating to India. I'm all for Afghans going to India.

The problem with Afghans is that you won't find a bigger hypocrite on this planet. They utter so much distrust and ill wish against Pakistan, yet come here in heaps and reap the benefits of this country. Their words don't match their deeds.

First of all who was asking you to be part of US led war against Russia...Did Afgan people asked you fight their war...And again requested you to host their refugee in millions if you do not have any other intention like using them to fight them against Russian army...So the bottom line is that whatever you sow, so you reap...You hosted the Afgan refugees and turned them to militants ...and the same militants and the refugees are now back stabbing you....Although it is unforunate, but this is the fact on the ground...

Article here, excerpts below:

...

Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi was in Kabul on December 25 to inaugurate the new Afghan parliament building constructed with funds from New Delhi, after the original building was bombed by the Taliban.

The buzz surrounding Modi's visit epitomised the warm relations between the two countries, while the story of the Afghan parliament symbolises the fragile country's ongoing struggle with an insurgency many Afghans blame on neighbour and Indian rival, Pakistan. The day after Modi visited Kabul he was in Lahore to become the first Indian premier to visit Pakistan in over a decade, fuelling hope of better relations between the two countries.

But for many Afghans that have witnessed their own President Ashraf Ghani's failed attempt at outreach to Pakistan, Modi and India remain the main attraction in terms of the country's strategic orientation. A poll from last year showed three out of four Afghans see India as their preferred leader in Asia.

Relations with India, both in the areas of security and civilian aid have been vital for Afghanistan in the post-Taliban era when Pakistan has proved a less constant source of friendship.

...

As Modi visited, Afghan social media circles poured out their love for India, at the obvious expense of the country's other significant neighbour.

Screenshot of a post from a public Facebook profile of an Afghan social media user. The post ironically compares India's contribution to Afghanistan's development to that of Pakistan, viewed through the prism of the Taliban.

The growth in India-Afghanistan relations in the post-Taliban era was most notable under President Hamid Karzai who famously offered Indian investors “the red carpet while others will get a grey carpet.”
whats wrong with that?
Sherif family also sees its business future with India not with Pakistan
the recent visit by Modi was for the Sherifs... not the Pakistani state

Afghan refugees inside Pakistan are being repatriated. They are going to leave this country sooner or later. We already have the solution to address the Afghan backstabbing problem.

India also sided with Russia to destroy Afghanistan. They must now take responsibility by taking in Afghans. Words are cheap.

Why the heck even India comes into pic..It is Pakistan who messed up with USSR and tied up with USA...India is no where in pic when Afgan issue started...

India supported former USSR in their endevour against the US during the Cold War. Don't be so dumbfounded. India is equally responsible for picking sides, arming the Northern Alliance thugs and destroying Afghanistan in the process.

Like I said we don't care what you think or say. Pakistan is repatriating Afghans to their homeland and that is all that matters. Let the Afghans migrate to India who they love.

For that all you have to do is Stop interfering in Afganistan by supporting taliban and hosting their leaders in Pakistan.

Why do you think that i really care what you will do with Afgan people...You allowed them to stay and you decide what you will do with them...Good Luck to you ..

So many of the Afghanis were moved to Pakistan to seek protection. Got settled and even got the nic cards. Even this brotherly gesture caused so many problems in Pakistan related to terrorism. Idk what else they want from Pakistan?
Their land is being misused by Indians for terrorism in Pakistan.
We don't even need any brotherly relation with such a country, who is already messing up the situation in Pakistan. Do we?

But what about those Afghans who acquired Pak nationality ...by hook or by crook?

I suggest you not respond so aggressively when it wasn't you I quoted in the first place, but now that you have, want to answer to the points I had raised originally ?

  1. " Pakistan's position is insisting on 'peace' talks with the Afghan taliban while being at war with the TTP themselves.. .duplicitous.
  2. "Afghans want democracy and rule of law, not mullah terror"
we remember IC-814, Indian concerns are genuine, but what is it with Pakistan's love affair with the Taliban animals ?
as i said, the topic at hand is about Afghans love affair with Indians not Pakistan, so why drag Pakistan into the baseless discussion.......

for your Point 1 - Pakistan has not once, but thrice had initiated call for Peace dialogue with Tribals to end the armed resistance, this has been the case since 2004, I say again, Pakistan had signed three peace treaties with the so called TTP, the last of the efforts broke down in March 2014, when TTP refused to sit on table and it was only then we started the Operation against them

For Point 2- i suggest you read up on the news from last since 6months - Pakistan pulled out of Peace process, AFTER Afghan govt refused to be a part of peace dialogue, it brought us to Kunduz falling to Talibanm US bombing a civilian hospital, Helmand almost fell to Taliban too, Kabul under seige -----etc
it was Afghanistan that approached Pakistan to re initiate the process.
a mechanism is being devised to call those on the table who wish to speak and those who want Caliphate , will have a meeting arranged with their creator with Joint operation of Afghan & Pakistan security forces
