You can say all this without knowing her reasoning? Happens only in india I guess!

i don't know why you brought india into this but what reasoning might she have other than moralistic??

Thats a greater man? How?

nasser threw away the yoke of western colonialism from egypt and began the process for the same thing in a bigger way for africa and a good part of the muslim world... he was the father figure for later great leaders among muslims... he was also confident enough to call for a non-aligned bloc but which i am not judging if it was right or wrong.

WTF? whose grave did i visit again?
btw as you say you have drank and have slept with prostitutes, according to Islamic law, you have just confessed to your crime, and must be stoned to death.

Visiting Dargahs is a bigger crime than what I did. You have committed bidah by saying a veil isn't compulsory and shouldn't be worn. I have repented. What about you?

thats what most Mullahs do, a few months ago a Mullah came to our University for preaching and he was like "when i was young, i went to the UK and did all the sins you can think of, but now i have seen the light and have come out of Zaman E Jahiliya (era of ignorance)" LOL

what has visitng a dargah got to do with saying wearing a veil is not compulsory.

look person, if you are ready to get stoned to death, then i am ready to accept my sin, hey wait THERE IS NO PUNISHMENT FOR WHAT I DID.

that is standard practice. :)

I see nothing wrong here. Given the present security situation in the country the face veil is a threat and on top of that is not even an obligation (http://www.alarabiya.net/articles/2009/06/24/76922.html).

i think this post above should be enough to close this thread.

@Irfan Baloch @waz @Jango - please.

leave it, my friend... he has been getting criticisms since yesterday and two negative ratings too... nevertheless, i am part of the stoners' crowd.

I didn't enjoy to fullest. I could have done more. There is no limit to greed and lust. But that does not matter.

What matters is present! So judging me by past is wrong. I have transformed from a jaahil to a pious Muslim.

Face veil is not part of Islam, rather a mental illness. She needs to be admitted to a mental asylum, in order to protect others from her...... this is classic Terrorism-101, today you allow her to be admitted a prestigious university, and tomorrow she get's a podium to spread her version of radicalization to others. No thank you. She should immigrate to country where her fellow Muslimas live and thrive.... and there's only one such country, the good old Saudia Arabia!

greater men than me have spoken on this issue, like nasser...

A Arab Nationalist? Didn't you oppose Nationalism?

On topic: As someone who believes in freedom of choice and freedom of association i believe the girl was within her right to refuse taking off her veil in front of MALE interviewers. Living in Pakistan, the interviewing board should have known that people of all walks of life and religious beliefs will enter the university and thus should have prepared accordingly by having female interviewers (Their lack of shows the sexist/patriarchal nature of the school administration board).

Regarding such cases, Indian Supreme Court gave a wonderful judgement. Court said, "You do not become less muslim by not wearing veil or long sleeve for a day"

Its a fact. Interviewers do check for body language & confidence. It is not possible with veil.
having interviewed countless people I can say with certainty that during an interview the unsaid often matters more than what is said.

For this observing body language and eye movement is necessary ,

Not possible with a veil.

I believe we have had gone through this before and in the end you admitted saying, "it is preferable". So in essence you agreed that there are no such orders from Allah in Quran and whatever the proponents of covering face have, has come from Hadith, and that too weak ones.
No I said that those who say it is not compulsory even they say it is preferd but vast majority agree that it is compulsory. GC university have if this story is true done wrong and they will have to apologize

You are such a hypocrite....... assuming you are such an enlightened person "As someone who believes in freedom of choice and freedom of association", would you support a deserving and bright scantly dressed woman, who wishes to be interviewed by a male panel for admission? Or better yet, for me to be in my underwear only and wishing to be interviewed by a female panel?

Freedom of choice my arse! Most of you jehadis are nothing but hypocrites, and use such high-morals only when it suites your nefarious objectives.........
