Why is India building the longest Border Wall in the World ?

Oh forgot there is a couple of big holes at the fence though, border posts like benapole etc....a whole train can get through, please shut it now.

I have been in the favour of charging Bangladesh for walls, barricades and bullets for a long time.

If only India had Thailand as the immediate neighbour instead of bangladesh. 8-)

It takes only a few hours buddy.. The VISA is also On-Arrival for Indians..Been there a few times..Humidity seems to be very high there.

India has the potential to be a super power but is not a super power yet. But for bangladesh there is hardly a difference.

There is corruption in BSF and reports that some BSF take bribes to let in bangladeshis inside the country.

Damn BSF corruption, needs to be sortted out now. Get on to it now indian patriot, close the border quick.....you need to let other indians know how important it is to build this fence and close the border.

And also charge them for the hospitality extended to some 30 million bangladeshis living illegally in India. These illegal migrants are a burden of Indian economy.

Indeed so. I mean which country can benefit with the presence of bangladesh? I mean look at Pakistan, bangladesh was a part of Pakistan and they lost a war against India. Now you have 1000 bangladeshis washing up on the shores of Malaysia and the Malayans will be banging their heads against the wall.

Ohh..recovery won't be a problem. One only has to decide.

Good luck with that......:cheesy:

Stop all your yapping and do something about it then....your all talk. Build your fence.....quick or Bangladeshis will take over india.....hurry, time running out.

Talk is cheap coming from camel piss drinkers..

Hehe...dont worry we have a plan to get rid of them like the Rohyingya......look at what is happening to them.......LOL...nobody cares...hahha
Rest of your troll wars aside.
Can u prove one single link of any muslim talking about drinking camel piss or any muslim literature or leader suggesting it? a single reference?
While i can give you 100 references of Hindu literature and leaders advocating drinking Cow piss.Even now as we speak this tradition is practiced in some parts of India by hindus.
Me Nehru used to drink cow piss.

So you are calling Muslims camel piss drinkers only out of desperation because u cant defend the cow piss drinking tridition of your countrymates?

On topic. I have no interest in India bengal issues. Bengalis had the chance and they choose to reject us and live seperately with Indian help. So nothing of our concern. But You two should live peacefully and Subcontinent should never ever start another cold war like India-Pak that have already cost dearly to poor people of subcontinent.

Naa ... their ain't any hostilities between India and BD. Even yesterday Hasina ji publicly declared that we are thick friends. :D We are just building some really nice fences. :agree:

What is there to defend or argue about... If someone is advocating something, then it is not necessary that you will have to agree to it, neither is it affecting you.
Does everything has to be seen through your eyes ? That logic can go other way around as well.

The question that you need to ask is what is bothering you, and what is it you want to talk about..

The borders between countries are often arbitrary constructions, drawn onto a map of landscape by those unfamiliar with realities of life on the ground. And because they are arbitrary, borders are often porous and become sites of smuggling, immigration and local disputes over land ownership.

One way to deal with these issues is to build a wall, make what it's effectively imaginary real and material. This is what India is in the process of doing along its 2,500 mile border to Bangladesh.

Begun in 1989, 1,700 miles of the double fenced, barbed wire wall has already been built, making it by far the longest border fence in the world. Being so long, India's great wall needs a giant police force of 70,000 to guard it.

The job of guarding the border is often a thankless one, and those who work on the wall are alternatively accused of brutality and being too lenient. Some are easily paid off by cattle smugglers, others spend their nights chasing down the same smugglers who are trying to outwit them.

Though interactions can turn violent, the border is home to villages and families whose histories straddle the line. Some homes have a front yard in India and a back yard in Bangladesh. To cross the border border in these places all you have to do is go through your neighbor's garden.

It provides a stark contrast to the massive project that the wall is - and to official immigration policies that stipulate the only way for Bangladeshis to migrate to India is to marry an Indian.

India's Prime Minister Narendra Modi made the wall's completion a key part of his campaign platform. While the wall is designed to prevent illegal immigration of all kinds, the sub-text is the prevention of specifically Muslim Bangladeshi's. Those who are Hindu and cross the border are less persecuted, as are those who promise to convert to Hinduism, a process called "Home Coming."

Indeed this is the sub-text for all borders in the world : the prevention of homogeneous national identities, while the sub-text for their security is keeping out those with a different way of life.
Defence News - Why is India building the longest Border Wall in the World ?

First need to kick those 1.1 crore illegal immigrants from Assam alone. Then build the wall. :hitwall:
