Agreement Done Myanmar will buy JF-17... Dunya news

FC-1 is the export version, JF-17 the version used by Pakistan, although the later is used more now.

Jf-17 is the PAF customised FC-1. With tot obviously.

What I'm asking is, have they signed it for a version of fc1 or they will take jf17 as it is. Is there going to be ToT ?

The article states Burma wants to produce it under license

Rumors ? Azerbaijan, Bulgaria, Nigeria, Sudan, Myanmar, etc. None have resulted in signed deal.

Fc-1 is simply a designation for the jf-17. There is literally no difference, because it is the same fighter.

Obviously there was. Otherwise Why will they go to the pain of doing that ? Anyway, I know the scene..

I was more interested in the deal news.

Doing what? Designating it the fc-1? Because its just a name, and China owns 50% of the aircraft. Most nations have their own designation for fighters, simple example, the NATO designation for the Sukhoi-27/30 series is called the "flanker" series. they're literally the same fighter jets, the Sukhois aren't different fighters to the flankers.

The article quotes a Burmese newspaper. It is clear they want to make it under license

Flanker is a NATO codename
JF-17 and FC-1 are lot different. they are not code names

In the JF-17 thread, the article posted from Janes, mentions that PAF is developing a two seat version for export customers. Since PAF never really wanted or needed a dual seater, they must have had firm commitments of some sort from export customers, that they are building the dual seater now. Anyway, good news.

I don't know if this is true. Either way, I expect either Myanmar or Argentina to become the first customers, followed by Nigeria. The rest, I'm not so sure about, as even these three nations are taking their time.
