AAP- the real deal

Think about it . How much area of solar and wind farms will have to be constructed to produce 1000MW which can be produced by a single NPP .

Moreover these renewable sources of energy is going to cost more for setting up .
Sorry to butt in, with 46.5 meter blade systems on Mitsubishi turbines, (75 meter offshore blades are capable of even more), each system is capable of producing 3 Mw of energy, name plate energy of 3.8 , so for so you can be looking a 70 Turbine wind farm providing excess of 250 MW, and 4 such Wind farms,
all four of these wind farms will cost you less than a 1000 MW Nuclear reactor, when you combine the initial cost, Operational cost, Technology cost, Risk mitigation, insurance.

Additionally from the wind farms you wont produce any toxic waste, zero risk to the environment, setup will provide employment to large number of non skilled and semi skilled workers, and lesser nuclear waste in general is good thing.

Whoa!!!
Didnt know the wind farms could be cheaper.

True but bit more inconsistent in energy output!
But I do agree with and select green energy vs nuclear any day!

Long term costs on wind farms are lower despite higher initial costs and larger break ever durations, but the costs of risk mitigation, NSG sanctioned safety audits, Insurance cost, and waste disposal costs are much higher when it comes to Nuclear plants, especially for India, unless it can develop it's thorium cycle reactors. Heavy water uranium and plutonium based reactors are expensive, the supply of fuel comes with extraordinary premium and environmental damage is something you cannot even put a cost on.....

But green technology has it's drawbacks too, thus there needs to be a good balance between, thermal, nuclear, hydel, Wind , geothermal, and solar sources as production of energy to satisfy the demands.

At the end of the day, it's our own land, and we need to leave it for our future generations, we need to have the foresight to leverage the green technology as much as we can and minimize the pillage of environment which we have done over the years.

Our generation knows better, and if we don't who will

Aaam aaadmi ministers take 22Lakhs premium innova MUVs...

NEW DELHI: Aam Aadmi Party Ministers of Delhi were today given Toyota Innova cars as official perks.

A number of ministers, including Manish Sisodia, Rakhi Birla and Saurabh Bhardwaj, came to Delhi Assembly complex in official cars.

Asked if coming by such cars was reflective of practising austerity, Kejriwal downplayed it saying the party never said it's ministers will not use official cars.

"We never said anything about not using cars. We said we will not use red beacon cars," Kejriwal said in reply to a volley of questions by reporters.

The acceptance of official cars by the ministers came a day after the AAP government won a trust vote in the assembly with Congress support and alliance.

Asked about the issue, Sisodia said the party was not opposed and there was nothing wrong in taking official cars.

"We are opposed to the VIP culture of ministers and bureaucrats using red and blue beacons on their cars and not against using government cars.

Asked whether Kejriwal will also accept a government car, Sisodia refused to answer.

The guy is a bubble , wait till reality hits, all his charm will wash away. case and point is akilesh govt , when elected he was supposed to be the savoir of UP, today there are only negative reports about him and his govt.[/q

I know kejriwal will not change from his stance even he becomes prime minister. He is typhoon against corruption and he will create history. Don't give example of Akilesh govt..he never brought revolution like AAP bringing.. Kejriwal govt. has already started working on their promises. Do not waste your vote for Congress and BJP. Lets bring a change!!

@Nav84 Acting on his promises ? he has broken every promise...the only thing he is doing is stealing from the poor and giving to the rich... All the subsidies he has announced will deplete the treasury in 3-4 months effecting infrastructure and metro extension....

He is a Fraud....

Japan was seismically much more active than Indian anyways. The comparison is pointless.

It was not about seismic activity.
And I wasnt comparing India and Japan.
It was about the cesium level in Fukushima & Tokyo (which was off limits).

Don't be stupid, don't get carried away with this mob mentality . ask what his national policies are, by the way he has not kept any promise he made during his election , the water and electricity bill reductions have clauses to them which most cant overcome.

See thats problem with you guys..If someone is trying to do something better..you won't give him time. the subsidies he offered on Electricity and Water..Its purely for poors or AAM adami who do not use more then 400 k watt in a month. riches are using more then 1000 kw so theses subsidies are not for them. He is auditing electric companies which no other Govt has done so far. How only subsidies on Electric and water can deplete the treasure in 3-4 months. Its only 65 crore delhi govt. has to pay from there pocket. On the other side commonwealth games scandals is more then 500 crore. 65 crore is peanut for Delhi govt. Has any other govt. leaders going personally in between common man and providing them shelters or listening their problems. NO!!!

Is it?

NDMA

Japan might had faced a very rare combination of disasters, but India lies is a disaster effected area too and any nuclear reactor above our real requirement is definitely too much. We do need them though, to fill our enegery needs, but the focus must be on green energy. Would love to see more cooperations between Germany and India on this.

So...let's vote modi?

No, vote for the party policies that suits the most to your ideas and hopes for India, don't vote for individuals!

I have a question for the AAP supporters. What do you think about the direct democracy they want, how realistic is it really and at what fields would you personally would have a say in government politcs (be it at state or national level)?
