Bro I like the way China have planned their cities. Almost every Chinese city has a waterfront and a beautifull skyline and a downtown which is similiar to western designs. Chinese cities are coming up fantastic.

Well, most major cities will form near to a river in any case.

The earliest Chinese civilization came up along the Yellow river, especially in cities like Xi'an.

Shanghai has the Yangtze river. South China has the Pearl River Delta.

No. 24: New Delhi, India
Mercer Health and Sanitation Index Score: 46.6

You'll find just about everything except marine life in New Delhi's Yamuna River. Garbage and sewage flow freely, creating a rich environment for the growth of water-borne diseases contributing to extremely high rates of infant morbidity.

Regarding Chinese cities, what is the quality of life like? I might be going to China sometime in the near future for my companies exchange program, Shenyang or Shanghai in particular.

I'm young and active, so are gyms commonly found? Whats the nightclub scene like? Is it difficult for foreigners to socialise and so on?

Well, I am from Hong Kong, which has one of the highest "qualities of life" in the world, and an HDI ranking above all the Western European nations like Britain/Germany/France.

And I can say, in my own opinion, that the quality of life in the big mainland cities like Shanghai/Beijing is just as good as here.

Nightclub life is great, we don't have any restrictions on alcohol or anything like that. Foreigners tend to socialize with other foreigners, due to the difficulty of speaking Chinese, though in your line of work you will be bound to run into a lot of Chinese people who can speak English.

Generally a very friendly environment for tourists and foreigners, provided you are not looking to cause trouble of course.

More than half of India poos without a loo
New Delhi: This is one world No. 1 tag India can be ashamed about. Indians comprised 58% of all people across the world who regularly defecated in the open in 2008. That’s more than half the Indian population (54%), a WHOUNICEF report said. While 18% of urban India indulged in the practice, the percentage was as high as 69% in rural parts of the country.
