Nirbhay: The most awaited cruise missile

Well increasing range of the missile is probably the easiest thing to do...but improving its precision is way harder...

From what I understand , why would Pakistan need a cruise missile with over 750 km range? 750 km range is more than enough...We cover ALL your forward airbases , military war-time positions , and even your capitol city with our nuclear-capable babur cruise missile...Just let the platform get more mature... increase the range when its needed...

I would like to see the naval version of babur with more range offcourse...

Lets see what Nirbhay got ... Hope it is tested soon...and DRDO makes a good video of it ..and release it to the public....
Very accurate observation.........but does Pakistan have nukes small enough to fit inside Babur??

I never asked you why Pakistan needs what it needs, I was only pointing out that they have a medium range but not long range as IndianRabbit pointed out.. nothing else!

Dude we of course know the range and can see for ourselves the places it can reach, what are you on about? This thread is not about Babur!

Well Pakistan has a "nuke" even for this missile ...

Nuclear-Capable Nasr tactical weapon system of Pakistan Army ..

What makes you think that Pakistan won't have a 'nuke' for a missile as big as Babur? People who are "insiders" have repeatedly told posters that Pakistan has been focusing , for years now , on "small" , "tactical", "battle-field" nuclear-weapons that would be used against Indian Forces on Pakistani land...So yes , I will obviously believe that Babur is indeed nuclear-capable...and Nasr too ...

That is Pakistan's strategy...and a wise one.... Pakistan WILL incinerate Indian conventional superiority by using these 'low-yield' nuclear weapons on the battle-field , if the push really comes to shove...

Hope such situation never arises though...

Here is some insight in Pakistan's evolving tactical nuclear doctrine ... (Remember , Pakistan also maintains the strategic doctrine of 'first-strike' on enemy) ...

Pakistan has developed smartest nuclear tactical devices

Due to change in indian war doctrine, Pakistan is focusing on tactical nuclear weapons than strategic one. That's why Bhrahmos can act as just like nirbhay tactical nuclear weapon. The weapons are developed according to doctrine. And Pakistan's weapons are mostly for defense purposes, minimum deterrence.

Exactly.

Stalemate.

Plus : I thought Brahmos wasn't nuclear capable? It can't act as "tactical nuclear weapon" ...

But yeah... Pakistan also posses nuclear-capable cruise missile that would be launched at enemy from the air ... Stand-off nuclear weapons!!!!

hope DRDO suceed in the project.
looking at the way it is kept under wraps im eagerly waiting for the nirbhay cruise missile launch:pop:.
we really need to do more in cruise missiles along with balistic missile.

That's why we are sending spy satellite, forming our own navigation system IRNSS(i think its right) so that we don't have to depend on GPS, working with GLONASS, Bhrahmos BLKII and BLKIII. Stalemate occured when you replied back in 1998 during nuclear test by India. There is no chance of ful-fledged war, just skirmishes or a week or two face off after which there will be ceasefire. We are now making weapons to keep p with the world, not to use against any other as chances of it happening in current world scenario is very less.

Actully in Pakistan whatever flies is nuclear capable...
Can't believe you guys started dancing over it,if pakistani nuclear scientists are so smart to develop smartest nuke they why can't they even build a dumbest of nuclear reactor of atleast 10MW . Remember Indian scientists never claimed that Prahaar is nuclear,Upcoming Nirbhay is going to be nuclear capable too.
At the end ,all I can say is the Pakistani generals feeding bullsh*t to you guys to Inject nuclear safety.

there are tooo many kids on the fourm.

just by naming a missile "Nuclear Capable" it dosent start carrying a nuke on it.
any missile can be nuclear capable. but the point is " are your nukes that capable ( i mean to say small enough to get accomodated in the missile cone).

to fit a nuke in the missile cone it need to be that small & no MBRL will carry 1ton warhead it will be at most 250 kg.
so the question is have India or Pakistan has the expertise to assemble a nuke that is less than 250kg or to be more precise say around 200kg. & a basic Nuke weight is in excess of 850kg.

Guys can you appease stop discussing about Pakistan here, this thread is about Nirbhay...

You are comparing two totally different technologies...
One needs all the safety in the world as it has to generate electricity and humans working around it..
The other has to go kaboom....not much safety needed..
So yes pakistan has been buiding miniature nuclear warheads which is not a cutting edge technology..its 1950 tech.

Don't tell me dude, u pakistanisgive an argument just for the sake of it no logic no brains into what ur saying, bus mooh khola aur gobar..
No safety into making nuclear weapons?? Diwali ke phatake hein kya?? What if there is some difficultly in the missile u launch which burst mid air over ur territory ??

Btw I don't think india or pakistan has still the capability of assembling a nuke of 250 kg or less to fit in their respective cruise missiles, never the less pakistan might have 4-5 of them offshelf from the chinese
