12 Megaprojects to Go Live in Three Months (Bengali Video)

Thank you for announcing it with a loud speaker:mad:

Shokuner dua tey goru morena.

Bangladesh is more connected to the global economy than India will ever be.

That is why we have the current situation. But things will change, they always do.

Indians are very good at hiding their economical numbers - we all know they have rampant inflation and declining growth as well.

Congratulations, You have made it to top 5 in the world

Elevated Rail link from Dhaka to Padma Bridge to be inaugurated in October - lot's of illegal encroachments to be cleaned up.

If we take into account the cost of rail lines in the Padma bridge then the total cost of building the bridge stands at Tk. 45000 crore. The amount of money that has been embezzled from this project is mind boggling.

Well complaining about it does not help because we really can't do anything about it. This corruption is all over the subcontinent.

Here is a footage of the train running on a trial run from Dhaka to Mawa over the elevated rail link.

Jolshiri Abashon will be the newest DOHS built in Dhaka, est. completion 2030.

Work in progress already.

The masterplan of Jolshiri Abashon's CBD in Dhaka, Bangladesh, envisions a sustainable development that emphasize public open spaces and landscape areas within a modern urban framework.

Excellent video. We should convert all our meter gauge rail links into broad gauge with the help of China. We should also seek Chinese technology transfer so that we can build railway coaches all by ourselves.

Exactly.

I am tired of running after Indians - when their dhokeybaaj govt. failed to install equipment in both Saidpur and Pahartali in Chittagong. They have been promising this project for over fifteen years now.

You get into any business with Indian govt., that will be a non-starter. They want to keep us dependent on them forever for basic railway rolling stock.

I believe it is best that we cancel any negotiations on coach factory with India and start fresh with China, even if it costs a bit more.

Chinese Railway Engineering now is at par with the West and we will benefit more with newer technology rather than get 1970's LHB tech second-hand from India.

In fact - with Chinese common bullet train coaches and electric motive power, we can leapfrog all the fossil fuel garbage we spent money on in the past.

Traffic increasing on Dhaka Elevated Expressway - but mostly private cars.

Train took only eight minutes to cross Padma Bridge

For strategic reason, we should not depend on India for technology transfer rather we should depend on China. Now you may ask me what strategic reason I am talking about. Well, we view China as our strategic ally whereas India views China as an strategic competitor. Our strategic outlook is just opposite.

Agreed on all points.

But diplomatically, angering the Indians may be foolhardy (and expensive).

We should provide concessions for now (where practicable) but for long term reduce dependency on them (their business people).

The Chinese already know where our stance is.

MRT-6 extension to Motijheel down town area getting ready for inauguration (phase II)
