I did not know Iran has natural Gas storage facility..great idea for peak demands in winter.

Gas storage at Shourijeh to be increased by 100% in 3 years

December 22, 2021 - 15:37

TEHRAN – The amount of gas storage at Shourijeh storage facility will be risen by 100 percent in the next three years, the managing director of Iran Gas Engineering and Development Company announced.
Reza Noshadi said that the daily storage capacity of Shourijeh will rise to 40 million cubic meters (mcm) from 20 mcm.
As one of the world’s top gas producers, Iran has been following a plan to expand its underground natural gas storage capacity to ensure that enough natural gas is available during peak demand periods to avoid electricity supply shortfalls in the future.
According to the National Iranian Gas Company (NIGC)’s plans, the capacity of the two storage facilities, Sarajeh and Shourijeh, is planned to increase to over seven billion cubic meters in near future.
UPDATE:
Iran's MAPNA group starts construction of largest natural gas storage facility in west asia

Again disappointing news from beloved Ahvaz
I say Isfahan and Mashhad need mor metro line , Mashhad at least need 2 more north south line in west of the city and one east west line north of the city.
Isfahan need two north south line one in west of the city one in east and they need to continue that purple line more to east.
that's the only wat that the grid can cover all the city .
it seems shiraz is the only one that completely covered all the city
if situation in ahvaz is still the same as the time we we were living there I say its a lot harder to build metro in that city than the other 3 city.
at the time of war they wanted to build a shelter in our school (the city was bombed at least twice a day ) well after digging 2m they reached water

Ahvaz issue seems to be money or share of project not technical one. there is an open court case for it. fortunately most of main work on project seems to be completed.Ahvaz deserves better ...

In Esfahan, BRT/Bus (usually) beats metro in less than 5 km routes. in longer routes metro beats everything else.with this in mind line 2 (khomeyni Shahr - Zeynabiye ) makes more sense. (even better than line 1 ! )

Recently i used metro and visited 3-4 metro stations in Esfahan :

1. Stations are soulless.
2.There is no city map inside any of them !

possible solutions :

1.Mandatory bookstore place in every metro station ( at least 1). if government/city management wants to run it its fine if they don't want to give the right to private entity so they use this space.

1.2.give artists and students of school/university some space inside metro stations so they can hang samples of their works on walls.

2. one expert guy who knows how to use a printer , 1 printer , 1 simple text (you are here on city map).

I think that is the solution , we have many art graduate , like tehran metro they must assign a theme to each station and made a competition , the ones who win get contract for that station

won't be successful

they just need to made a city map that show station and on each map they put a pointer that you are here and attach 2-3 of it to wall in each station

won't be successful
Why do you think it won't be successful ?

Unlike bus, in metro station and train you have perfect light.train is also fairly stable for reading few pages.

Here on average there are 10k people visiting one metro station each day.even 2% makes it 200(potential) costumers for one book shop.

Depending on where are you and where is your destination you may have 5-30 min dead time to burn.

If you want to give enough space for one book shelf and one seller it's fine or if you want to give them 200 cubic cubic meter to them this is also is fine.

people really don't read that much , they just spend their times on their cell phones

As a student sometimes I used to do my homework or study in bus or in a car.I was not exactly bookworm personality then and certainly not now but one thing I hate more is not having a better option.

Raisi team is great..they are doing all the right moves..it will take 2- 3 years before the results are felt by the average person...I am keeping a close eye on what he is delivering..his tax collection revenues is becoming a reality..he has not printed a single rial and is paying off debts accumulated by that MI6 agent Rouhanni....watching closely to see his 4 million low cost housing promise..I expect to see first units in the next six months...his space and aviation promises will take a bit more time..good luck to him and his team .He is a good mullah to be proud of..but he has to ease up on the hijab rules..lol

Tehran_shomal freeway
One of Iran's mega road projects, the 121 kilometer Tehran–Shomal Freeway connects Tehran to the Caspian shore region up north. The freeway crosses some of the most mountainous terrain in Iran. The project is divided in four sections with two sections already completed. This freeway is Iran's most expensive and complicated road project and has been in the works for more than 15 years. The final cost of this freeway will exceed Billions of dollars .
There are numerous tunnels and bridges that have to be built in the mountains including Iran's largest road tunnel "ALBORZ" which is indeed a 3 tunnel system.

The section 4 was completed during Ahamdinejad presidency and section 1 was completed during Rouhanni presidency at a (cost of section 1 is at $1billion dollars).

Section 2 and 3 are the most difficult and Albors tunnel is in this section 2. ....70% of section 2 is all tunnels. 59 tunnels and 30 bridges just on this section alone.

The end of section 4 is the north caspian region (completed)
