Indian Brahmos missle crashes in Mian Channo

maybe we should have some missile accide

so we can have some missile accidents on indian territory?
Sure why not ... send an accidental nuke their way. I mean one would expect a childish emotional response from a person behaving like a teenager having a fist fight.

ISPR its being very silent about how it fell. Considering that mian cannu is close to the Rafique Air Base, it is entirely possible that the middle was intercepted by an HQ16 or HQ9P but the Military doesn't want it to be known that they are capable of intercepting super sonic cruise missiles. bear in mind, a missile will only donate over the intended target, not upon crashing of impact on the ground which explains why no explosion took place as such. Either way, retaliation is a must now.

Exactly. ISPR is not revealing our cards.

Most logical conclusion. No preconditions for an Indian attack exist. Indian side is silent. If this was intentional, Modi would've tweeted about it. Most likely USA/NATO spoofing of GLONASS disrupted the Brahmas guidance system causing it it to veer off course.
The Turkish and Israeli, and now the Ukranians, have been time and again showing the Russian stuffs are dangerous for its owners..

The fact that such a reckless action occured pakistan should react in kind. Test a babur/shahpur and have it strike open land in Gujrat. 2019 but with a twist. It would send a clear enough message

I agree with everything you said except the last part. Why use Babur and risk them getting parts of it to study?

If Pak needs to respond - use low tech / less important assets, even an unguided rocket or one of the old Hatf 1s. Nothing of value.

This is why the military has SOPs . They war game this stuff all the time. On Feb 26 india sent fighters from four directions. The airforce had SOPs to deal with the situation ,CAP response was measured forcing the enemy to flee. The next day according to a pre defined plan aircraft took off and bombed Indians occupied Kashmir….SOPs

The Indian submarine came near Pakistani territory did the navy sink it ? No because Pakistan is not at war.

The military can not be emotional they have to be calculating 210 millions Pakistanis depend on them.

The military was monitoring this missile and it was not moving towards any facility , if it had they would have shot it down. Even if the air defense shot the brahmose down they would never acknowledge it as it will make it easier for india to assess AD capability. On the other hand as there is no loss of life Pakistan sit on her hands and make the Indians squeal… that is so much more satisfying.

There are no good options for the Indians

1) acknowledge they are incapable and incompetent

2) declare nuclear war with Paksitan as they know very well that Pakistan has demonstrated strategic. And cruise missile capability

Read response above
That’s a week mentality and a very defensive one
Did india thought of anything like this before conducting any of your mentioned operations?

We are not even responding properly , sometimes when enemy is sending at sea, air and now missiles then it’s important to send a full and final signal to never try something like this ever again

I hope you are right and one day we can send a strong message and play right to defend our people, no one even in army knew it will land in city without any casualties or is without any warhead , or only become clear when it hit the ground

The most important point everyone is missing here is that vast majority of Indian Brahmose including the ones being tested have a range of 265 kms . The longer range ones are not even being tested yet!!!!!!!!!

We could build our own now with 1200 km range……and call it brahmose killer

Test missiles self destruct the don't start nuclear war from other side of border

Fighter jets across the world do fly pasts and perform, in India they sit on a truck in a parade.

Pilots world over are usually awarded for gallantry and enemy kills, in India they win medals for ejecting and dodging missiles.

Air defence missiles are supposed to differentiate between friendly and enemy aircraft, in India they see them all the same and shoot their own.

Do you see a pattern? Normal across the world, is not normal in India. So they launched a Brahmos with no warhead and possibly no self destruct.

That armed or unarmed aspect keeps bothering me.
Would the impact debris dispersion be this way if it was unarmed as well due to the high velocity and remaining fuel on board??

In that case the failed launch does come into play but doing a launch without NOTAMs seems utter unprofessional on part of the India armed forces.

That is an interesting point.

From what little I know, there is often no shock wave generated from the impact of a dud on the ground. But if you see the pictures and videos, there are shattered windows on buildings, and destroyed walls and structures as well.

Moreover, the impact crater itself, and the lack of any debris WITHIN the crater itself also tells that there might have been a explosion.

But then again, the motor section is pretty nearby.

Here is an impact of a demo missile btw,

In the end though, I think it would be pretty easy for forensics to know whether there were any explosives or not. And I do believe the DG ISPR did have some reason to say that there were no explosives on board.

It is a mystery!

Government has not bothered to educate the people of the incident. The media blackout hints of a systematic approach to keep the masses oblivious and unsuspecting.

To those calling for a tit for tat - consider that wisdom dictates you do not play the game on the enemy’s terms. Instead a truly confident and independent person or nation reserves the right to play the game on their own terms and at a time of their choosing. The military planners have greater operational intelligence than this forum and are surely calculating an appropriate response with maximum deterrence in mind (e.g. it may have been an erroneous test that the Indian’s alerted the Pakistani military of). It is not about reacting, it is about responding.

During peacetime our SAMs are not active to avoid shooting down a passenger plane like Iranians.

It is clear the India wont own up to a failed test but at the same time the booster(if it is truly supposed to fall off(and if it didn’t why did the missile still keep flying for so long) is still there and it did follow a normal flight pattern to simply crash into Pakistan.

It’s either a test that’s gone really bad or is a probing effort.

Any other thought seems less likely so it does behoove ISPR to provide the unarmed statement. Saying it was unarmed cannot be coincidental.
