When he served as national security adviser, John R. Bolton resisted President Donald Trump’s efforts to negotiate with the Taliban. Bolton left the White House on acrimonious terms a week after the president tried unsuccessfully to organize a secret summit with Taliban leaders at Camp David – just before the anniversary of the Sept. 11 attacks in 2019.

Islamabad and Washington have long had an alliance, but Pakistan's military and intelligence services have been uncomfortably tight with the Taliban. Four presidents have grudgingly put up with this duplicity since 2001 because Pakistan provided supply lines for the United States' military presence next door – and also because Pakistan has an arsenal of nuclear weapons.

In an op-ed for The Post, Bolton makes the case that the time has come to take a much harder line on Pakistan.

Pakistan's national security adviser said in an interview with Josh Rogin that the country wants to be treated like an ally, not a scapegoat.

Listen to the podcast. John Bolton argues that the US has for 20 years sought access to Pakistani nuclear weapons and delivery systems.
The title has been changed in violation of PDF rules.

The only violation is your denial of US clandestine operations against Pakistani nuclear weapons.

Washington is full of lobbyist.
This time indian lobbyists must have hired him. But yes he has been anti pakistan historically. But he is nobody in this regime and even removed in the previous ones.
All he can do is lobby against us and makes mind of those who matter.

It is an eye opener. To see such a senior figure in US politics brag about US desire to dismantle Pakistani nuclear weapons couldn't be any clearer.
who cares what he thinks!

It matters. It matters a lot. John Bolton has served at the highest level. John Bolton isn't Joe the plumber. This is a a guy who has served at the highest level in US politics. Him being this frank an open about US desires matters a lot. Listen to the whole podcast.

Hey my pet cat also wants access to Pakistan's nuclear codes and delivery systems. She wants to wipe out some indian a-holes next door and also wants to launch a nuke at the Fat corrupt Aloo called Nawaz Sharif in London.

Did you notice how John Bolton gives India a free pass? This interview wasn't given to Fox News. It was given to Washington Post. Let's sink that in.

@waz @Horus @Zaki @Foxtrot Alpha @araz @The Eagle @HRK @LeGenD

John Bolton lays it all on the table. He spills the beans so to speak. Please listen to the full podcast and give your perspective.
Who cares man

taliban have already caused so much embarrassment to America… we don’t want to embarrass them more. Right now Americans are acting like Indians who are confused about what they achieved in the last 20 years besides killing Osama bin Ladin

LOL so you are brushing aside the revelation from a very senior US ex-official that the US has been seeking the precise locations of Pakistani nuclear weapons and delivery systems as who cares. The casual repsonse doesn't even surprise me anymore. Not to mention the objection to Pakistani cooperation with China on CPEC.

A certain anti-Pakistan and hawkish element of US society is obviously building a case to tackle Pakistan. Pakistanis shouldn't fall asleep and pretend that things are going smoothly. Especially our military and civilian leaders who are in appeasment mode.

Again, this wasn't published on Fox News. This is Washington Post. A media outlet that we generally term as moderate.

I would take him seriously but right now Americans seems to be confused and you can expect anything from them

when I was growing up, I used to hear in everything ‘America ki saazish hai’

this is conspiracy of America

nowadays I am hearing Americans saying… this is conspiracy of Pakistan… I am hoping sanity will prevail when they realise ground realities and in my opinion America will need Pakistan for a very long time so they wouldn’t want to upset us too much
