And I hope they build more Azmat missile boats as well as indigenous gun boats. Azmat missile boats could become the ultimate beauty for us if we just do one thing, and I know if we have the will we can do it. That is Harbah missile which we have built, and which these Azmat class carries, if we can just increase its range to 1000 KM it would turn Azmat class ships to India's biggest nightmare. Trust me a Missile with 1000 KM range, and which can be fired from a Missile boat and can hit fixed targets on land as well moving enemy ships with equal precision. The kind of damage you can do with that, and psychological impact it would have on your adversary is incredulous and inconceivable.

The last Azmat boat was designed & built indigenously in house..... you can guess how these missile carriers will be sailing around. I have an idea like they can work like magazine/cartridges to shoot & scoot.... the big boys will be handling the radar & lock part & will be overtaking control. That's enough for me till now.

@Zarvan you are seems to be worried about missile ranges but let me assure you, no one in this world ever disclose the true outreach. Stop asking for that but rest assured, enough range for declared & hidden enemy. However, wait a while like a year or so and we might see some kind of demonstration as well.

Speaking of possible heavy tonnage ships after already disclosed name/numbers; I will say that let's wait for Jinnah Class to be produced. Why did we go for indigenous Azmat Boat and why for Jinnah class? Why the Jinnah Strategic Ormara & our next shipyard at Gwadar while we are upgrading Karachi Shipyard?

ab meri bas ha bhai.

This upcoming exercise may be related to some new systems testing:

Folks, can someone put 2020 fleet, 2025 fleet, 2030 fleet data. and 2030 beyond expectations as a summary.

By the way I think we should start stingy threads on some of the things mentioned by Naval Chief like on replacement of P3C Orion and other such jets.

I think it is perfectly possible that PN already has the anti ship ballistic missile built and tested. The reason I say this is because Pak strategy has always been to keep things under wraps at least until it is tested and ready.

The implication for this is that such a system will not only be available for the PN but may also be eventually available for the land forces and the air force to use from land and air. This may be something like the DF-21 in smaller scale, built by Pakistan against India to neutralize India's fleet advantages, just like the Chinese did the same with the USN.

The added advantage for Pak over China is that this system can be deployed from ships as well.

If I had to guesstimate, it would be about 500-1000 km range and about twice the size of Harbah. You could possibly convert PNS Alamgir into a ASBM loaded maniacal ship that goes bonkers on the IN, with no possible defense to a terminally hypersonic top attack.

If you built future PN ships with vertical launchers built directly into the hull, it would be quite a game changer.

My guess about Harbah is that it has a range of about 700 km. PN still is coy about revealing meaningful SAM defenses and air defenses for its fleet. A jet based LRMPA would definitely help, as they would be faster, allowing them to run away from IAF / IN fighters. But without a meaningful PN-AF, PN will continue to be at the disadvantage.

For me the most important part of the CNS speech was development of the maritime economy. The key is to become a sea fairing nation that has a global fishing fleet, just like other NICs.

I think PN should explore ASBM launched from surface ships and subs. One way test this from an RD prospective would be to conduct a space launch from a vessel that would sail to the equator for more efficient space launch.

Concept has already been tested by an international company:

Naval Chief confirmed Hypersonic ballistic missile. Is Pakistan Navy also working on developing a supersonic cruise missile ??? @Tipu7 @Rafi @Rashid Mahmood @Arsalan @Path-Finder
