What's new

China to debut new version of powerful Long March 5 rocket this week

Once again, China is achieving things done decades ago. There’s a big difference between can’t do and choosing not to. We’ve moved on to more worthwhile projects.
And yet you are here! Lol. Heard you still depend on the Russians for transport to ISS? Lol

Had the capability is different from having the capability. US today do not have the technology nor capability to go to the moon. The factories and companies producing for the manned space program are not complete some are bankrupt, some closed down, others don't even have the blueprint for parts and components anymore.

The emergence of Chinese space endeavour triggered US to rejoin the space race. 60 years of space dominance translated to nothing but a penis measuring contest with the Russians. The Chinese plan to mine and colonize the moon prompted US to react. The US is now a follower rather than leader. CHINESE HsR prompted US to want to invest but nothing is done so far. Instead of planning for your own destiny, US is now planning based on Chinese advancement. What a joke!

The Next Gen Manned Spacecraft in High Orbit right now, All Systems Normal and Good. Ready to make another three orbital lifts and braking action before finally landing tomorrow.

At present, the new-generation manned spacecraft test ship has stable attitude, normal power supply, measurement and control links, etc., and the whole ship is in good condition. Subsequent to the plan, three orbital lifts will be implemented, and finally the brakes will be carried out at a remote location before returning to the intended landing zone. #中国航天#中国载人航天 #LongMarch5B#CNSA#CASC

New data: 322 km x 4982 km x 41.1 °, nearly 10000km when returning. via: Lin Xiaoyi #中国航天#中国载人航天 #LongMarch5B#CNSA#CASC

I personally think that the 18000km orbit is more likely, because it takes about 1900 dv to enter the orbit from the initial launch orbit, and if China wants to use this spacecraft to go to the moon in the future, the spacecraft needs about 1800 dv to enter and exit LLO

Almost halfway to GEO orbit, insane !

The US is at the forefront. China winning my ***.

The US is at the forefront with 75,000 dead; 980,000 active cases; and 33.5 million jobless.

Btw, do you see anyone social distancing in this picture? Looks like people aren't afraid of their own shadow in China. When are the lockdowns ending in the US? Do you have any toilet paper?

A Complete Success for Chinese Next Gen Manned Spacecraft (XZF-SC Spacecraft) :yahoo:

At 13:49 on May 8, 2020, the return cabin of our new generation manned spacecraft test ship successfully landed in the predetermined area of the Dongfeng landing site. The flight test mission of the new spacecraft test ship was a complete success! #LongMarch5B

It looks like backing from Mar!

it's a pity the inflatable shield didnt get to work out

The inflatable shield is a new concept for CNSA even new too for NASA.
We need to appreciate CNSA (China) as a first country launching and try inflatable shield. The Data will be very valuable for next try

And Relax, that inflatable shield is light and compact.
So after our researchers make an analysis about that and build a new one.
We can piggybacking that with another payload using smaller rockets.

The most important thing in this mission are The successfull launch of Long March 5B rocket thats open the window to start building Chinese Large Modular Space Station (CSS), and Chinese Space Telescope next year.

And also the complete success of our Next Generation Manned Spacecraft (XZF-SC Spacecraft), with almost 22 Tonnes tonnage. Thats open the window for our Manned Moon mission, Manned Mars mission, Manned Deep Space Exploration, Moon Base Program, and Mars Base Program.

The task team of an activity station of Xi'an Satellite Measurement and Control Center completed the target capture in the new generation manned spacecraft test ship return cabin # in the northwest border, and completed the status monitoring of the airbag deployment process of the cargo return cabin and the orbit measurement of the cargo return cabin return section. After 200 seconds of stable tracking, the cargo return module runs smoothly according to the scheduled return track, which lays a good foundation for the accurate orbit determination of the return section of the cargo return module.

After returning, the ablated heat protection structure is disassembled, a new set of heat protection structure is replaced, and a "physical examination" is performed on the return cabin, and the return cabin can be put into the next task. #LongMarch5B#LM5B#CMS

This Chinese Next Generation Manned Spacecraft (22 Tonnes) XZF-SC Spacecraft looks very Big, much much bigger than Shenzhou :toast_sign:
It can easily accomodate 6 to 7 Astronauts (Taikonauts) onboard for Moon Mission and Deep Space Mission

"Nothing can basically stop America," Buffett said. "The American miracle, the American magic has always prevailed, and it will do so again. ... In World War II, I was convinced of this," he added. "I was convinced of this during the Cuban Missile Crisis, 9/11, the financial crisis."

The US will come back stronger than ever. The US will always prevail.
