Has China really designed its own chips / chip ? That is what will set China apart from x36, ARM, SPARC, RISC-V etc.

those are instruction set architectures. nobody designs one from scratch at this point because it is more important to maintain software interoperability.

I have a Huawei P20 Pro and it is still going strong after 2 1/2 years.

The best thing is that a software update has allowed me to get x10 zoom on the camera from x5 when I brought the phone back in 2018.

Huawei really knows how to make good smartphones and they are better than HTC which I used to buy previously.
