What's new

Zia ul Haq my grandfather

Is it wise to pile up the blame of 30 yrs of ignorance to 1 man?

Lets say he started it....Shouldnt 30 yrs of ignorant governance also be blamed for not being able to undo 1 man's job? Just shows how incompetent these 30yrs of govt was and still is...

Blaming is not the way...and if it is the way blame all the way not just 1 man!

I can respect your opinion too, but all I will observe is better a hollow society than a society on fire, consuming itself. And General Zia lit the fire.
General Zia didn't let the fire after Afghan Jihad its successive goverments who did this and main fire came after dumbo Musharraf U turn

I totally agreed to @Zarvan, during ZIA reign Pakistan was going really well. There was total law and order through out country by that time. And It was Musharraf and our politicians mistakes that Pakistan is in fire right now.

They were both Generals who sold out Pakistan, just like the Generals-for-Hire are known to do. There is no difference between them, and likely many more still to come.

No Sir, the politicians have no real power. The Generals-for-Hire rent out Pakistan and its forces. That is why they always control foreign and defense policy so firmly.

The country was most stable in Zia reign. However, he is responsible for the a lot of things happening today. Bhutto was responsible too because he made Qadiyani people non-Muslim. But all religious people agreed at that time.

Bhutto and Zia situation was like today's Imran Khan and Nawaz Sharif like situation. We never learn from our mistakes.

A man who destroyed Pakistan. A man who swore an oath on Quran and broke his oath of holding elections. So much for mard-e-momin lol. If this is the standard of momineen for being a Muslim in Pakistan then I'm happy Ahmadis are kafirs in the eyes of corrupt Pakistanis.

The irony

The author is arguing against democracy which is something his grandfather would not have allowed, to speak against his regime

And he is a London based student
His grand father wanted to turn Pakistan on Saudi Arabia footprint
But there's a reason this man studies in London and not Saudi Arab
