How many serial numbers you see here already?

. .

It was discussed before. Serial number before and after induction was changed. I had a similar doubt but was clarified by someone about the confusing serial no.s . Check that 11-002 and 12-002 serials. Before and after induction serial numbers. 12-003 and 13-003 is same ZDK, not different one

. . . . . . . .
west has everything expensive janab labor cost materiel and services are far far expensive .
lets see this way
a person x gets paid 10 dollers for one hour work in western nation(higher labour cost) while a person b gets paid 1 dollars in china (due to lower labour cost thats why it is called the manufacturing center of the world)
I know Labor costs..
thing which i want to know about the difference of Technologies between Saab and KE-03. thats why I asked the Question..

‘KARAKORAM EAGLE’ JOINS THE ELITE NO 4 SQUADRON OF PAF
in Latest news, Pakistan Leave a comment

Lahore: No 4 Squadron, one of the premier squadrons of the PAF, has been re-equipped with state of the art Chinese built Karakoram Eagle AWACS aircraft. A historic ceremony in this regard was held at an operational PAF Base today.

Prime Minister of Pakistan, Muhammad Nawaz Sharif was the Chief Guest at the occasion. Governor Sindh Dr. Irshat ul Ibad, Air Chief Marshal Tahir Rafique Butt, Chief of the Air Staff, Pakistan Air Force, High ranking Officials from Ministry of Defence & Defence Forces and ex Squadron Commanders of 4 Squadron, were also present at the occasion.

The proceedings of the historic event commenced with a parade which was reviewed by the Prime Minister of Pakistan. The Chief Guest also presented the Squadron Colour to the squadron commander in recognition of the meritorious services of the squadron ever since its inception in August 1959.

Speaking at the occasion, the Prime Minister said, “History of Pakistan Air Force is replete

with acts of heroism, sacrifices and professionalism. PAF due to its saga of feats of gallantry has made its niche amongst the comity of finest Air Forces
of the world. Moreover, PAF has always proven equal to the task even in the most challenging times and has measured up to the expectations of the nation. The fast emerging threat posed by the forces of extremism and militancy is another menace that needs to be eliminated before it brings any more damage to our progression, social fibre, international image and national security. I am happy that PAF has contributed tremendously in the operations against the miscreants and has always remained steadfast in safeguarding national security against any threat be it external or internal. The whole nation takes great pride in the significant successes achieved by PAF in the precise targeting of terrorists’ hideouts.” He further said, “Pakistan is a peace-loving country, and pursues peaceful relations with international community specially our neighbours. However, we stand determined to safeguard our national interests and uphold our sovereignty against any aggressor.”

Air Chief Marshal Tahir Rafique Butt, Chief of Air Staff, Pakistan Air Force while addressing at the occasion, said “The event is not only a significant moment for the Squadron and the PAF, it is in fact an occasion when each Pakistani can feel
proud and reassured that Pakistan Air Force, in line with Quaid’s vision of being “Second to None”, is equipped with technologically advanced weapon systems. Re-equipping the Squadron with this state-of-the-art aircraft will Insha Allah enable PAF to effectively counter all threats against Pakistan’s aerial frontiers and add a new dimension to the National security.” He further said, “Induction of Karakoram Eagle AWACS would revolutionize PAF’s operational concepts. With its induction, PAF is transforming into a modern versatile and capability based force.”

Later on, a short documentary on the history and milestones achieved by the squadron over the years was shown to the guests. A formation of Karakoram Eagle aircraft also presented a fly past.

Karakorum Eagle AWACS can detect aerial as well as sea surface targets at fairly long ranges regardless of their height. It maintains link with ground command and control centers to provide comprehensive air picture. With the addition of AWACS, Pakistan Air Defense is now able to look deeper in enemy territory, be it land or sea. After an early detection, AWACS can direct own fighter aircraft to intercept or neutralize the emerging threat, well before it can threaten our national assets. AWACS ability of detecting sea targets would also enhance the capabilities of Pakistan Navy.

Impressive, despite a much smaller Budget the PAF has a better AWAC capability than the IAF :enjoy::enjoy::pakistan:

It looks good on Paper but is a very bad strategy in Wartime due to latency issues and communication disruption attacks. Consider a scenario, JF-17 over azad kashmir wants to share something with F-16 over Gilgit baltistan in wartime in a very hostile EW environment . Delay added due to EW environment plus the delay added in moving info through ground station would be totally disasterous and render information useless.

Current latency is about 16 seconds.....not bad for Indo-Pak scenarios as outside of AEW, multiple other radar sensors exist to gather data, plus the close proximity is a blessing.

Why Saab is expensive which cost $1B for 4 AEW&C + 1 Civil and Chinese Costs Only 287 M for 4 AEWC

Higher performing AESA with more frequency spectrums, more tr's, advanced detection, different SAR modes and advanced countermeasures with 3D aerial / airspace mapping like the Boeing / Grumman / LM platforms do.

But Vh bees AEW should be a better option for Pakistan long term, you can learn advanced tech and one day produce these like India is about to do today. In the next 5 years, Chinese tech in AEW may be equal to or superior to Saab's. Chinese are making serious head ways with high speed / super computing types of stuff and that's the main thing requires in a radar scenarios.

Indians dont need to shoot these when they can get it destroyed in peace time through their proxies. I hope PAF protects its assets better this time.
I also hope that in future PAF will protect it's assets very carefully. It was terrorist proxies who did the damage at Kamra. The Breguet Atlantique was shot down by Indians when it was flying to close to the Indian border or It might have crossed in to Indian border. I saw a video on TV about Indians picking up its pieces so it must have fallen in Indian territory.
