Its beautiful river, but all of sudden its dried. What is the reason ?. Anyone discuss the issue. Because so many rivers has been dried in Iran. People accuse govt wrong policy of building too many dams. Example lake Urmia.

Right now, it has water flowing in it, but if the rainfall is not enough, they'll have to close the dam in summer to preserve water for Isfahan and farmers.

For thousands of years there have been droughts in this region, so let's not blame it on droughts. Per capita water use by the public in Iran is ridiculous, but that isn't the culprit either. The culprit is Soviet era industrial practices, both in farming and manufacturing. The vast majority of inefficiency is in that side of the pie, so let's not make the issue confusing by talking about droughts and public mismanagement. While the latter two issues are obviously having an effect, they're not the main cause.

Yeah man. Canada has 20% of the world's fresh water supply and industrial and manufacturing practices are still light years ahead of countries like Iran. One thing that really highlights the insanity is the number of water fountains and unsustainable vegetation in every city in Iran. As I said, the main issue is stone age industrial and farming practices, but the number of water fountains in every Iranian city really highlights the lack of concern in the country.

Khomaini used to say that commerce is for westerners. By extension he was also talking about progress, science and logic (although IR lovers will try to argue otherwise, as they always do). Well, here you go. Country is in the shitter economically, politically, scientifically, technologically... Chickens always come home to roost. Now they don't even have water. Things have gotten so bad in Iran that at certain times of the day, the city cuts water to homes (during the summer).

Iran doesn't have a water shortage, Iran has an IQ shortage. When a bunch of shia taliban run the joint, anything except what we see would be a miracle.
