Zardari vows to act against rebels behind Iran attack

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan president Asif Ali Zardari has agreed on setting up a timetable to confront the rebel group Jundallah, which orchestrated a
suicide attack that killed 42 people, including top officers of its elite Revolutionary Guard, in Iran.

Zardari added that terrorists had also committed many crimes against Pakistan and that was why it had begun ‘‘massive operations’’ against them.

Ahmadinejad had alleged that the suicide assault was aided by and plotted in Pakistan. ‘‘We became aware that some security agents in Pakistan were cooperating with the main elements of the terrorist incident and we consider it to be our right to demand the rendition of these criminals,’’ he said. ‘‘We want the Pakistani government not to delay the arrest of the main elements of this terrorist act any longer.’’

Iranian officials have accused Pakistan, Britain and the US of aiding the Sunni group. Gen Mohammad Ali Jafari, chief of the Guards, said Tehran would ask Pakistan to hand over Jundallah leader Abdolmalek Rigi, accused of being the mastermind of the bombing.

He said an Iranian delegation would go to Islamabad to present ‘‘proof’’ of Pakistani support to the group led by Rigi.

If the hand of Pakistan or its soil is found in the event I think then definitely Pakistan should apologize to Iran as a responsible nation. But the condition is if..........

Take my word, NOTHING will happen. The words of Zardari are again hollow. As Iran was too early to blame, similarly Zardari's promise came way too early. The fight and mudslinging will go on and on

Well this is an expected move by CIA , since they have bases near the loacation from where the violation occoured.

a) There is substantial past proof where every CIA operatives
form their bases, they start to support local miliatas with money

This is kinda similar, Iran signs the Gas piple line project with
Pakistan, so the CIA gives cash to local rough elements in Pakistan
border to go in and launch an attack, even if not they must have
known about it

b) The move coincides with the Pakistani military move in Waziristan
so the talibans could have done it to provoke and damage pakistan
solid relations with Iran.

Or the people could have been transported from near by Afghan areas to Iran by US helicopters in covert operations and these 4-5 ppl
must have done their missions.

But that is hard as they could have travelled on animals into Iranian open borders or something with out detection

Who knows -

Movite and who gains form something is vital in understanding the motives of attacks -

But also one has to realize that Iran was negotiating , its nuclear issue with US so they were also making positive strides , so perhaps this was just a rough attack ...



Iran is our brother state, and if we can work out our differences , Iran + Pakistan+ Saudi can become a very economical united front in region

With big brother china and Russia something even more powerful then european union

I don't know what Munshi jee India will do but they normall side with one who has power so they will be on our side likely

TEHRAN–The chief of Iran's powerful Revolutionary Guard accused the U.S., Britain and Pakistan on Monday of having links with Sunni militants responsible for a suicide bombing that killed five senior Revolutionary Guard commanders and 37 others.

Iran's president said those behind Sunday's bombing are hiding across the border in Pakistan, and he telephoned Pakistani counterpart Asif Ali Zardari on Monday to demand their arrest.

The Sunni rebel group Jundallah has since 2002 waged a low-level insurgency in Iran's mountainous southeast, where the bombing took place, to protest alleged persecution of the Baluchi ethnic minority. A Jundallah claim of responsibility for the attack was posted Monday on a website that usually publishes Al Qaeda statements.

We didnt accuse Pakistan of anything it says "some agents in Pakistan" every country has traitors and you know that! Anyway i think they have send a delegation with the proof to the Pakistan.

And please read the news regarding the Iran from the Iranian sources.

One of the Senior members of this forum also posted something crazy about attack on Pakistan consulate in Iran!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I dont know where do you guys get these news from, but i can assure you nothing like this has happend! The only thing i found while i was Googling was that an Iranian diplomat kept hostage by Taliban in Pakistan! And we dont know anything about him yet!

So please dont act so rushly! Alwasy gather the proper intelligence first and then decide what to write i dont want any bad blood between our countries, and know that our comments here on the forums will be seen by thousands, so the echo will have a huge impact on what the people of both countries think about each other.

And BTW where are all suicide bombers graduate from?! Guess what?! Suadi schools!

What did we do wrong that we need to apologize for care to elaborate? Just because Iranians said we are responsible does not make us responsible unless backed by some credible evidence and not just shooting out hot air similarly to what Indians do all the time.

Saudi's dont do it themselves. They just pay the money to state actors in your neighborhood and then these state actors perform the final acts. As your president has said openly that it was performed by Pakistani state actors and he is sending a delegate to Islamabad with proofs. The Saudi's are hand in glove with Pakistani's, afterall the saudi's are second best freind of Pak after china and has helped them in dire needs especially their politicians if not public.
