I don't think it will be fair to have comparison between these two legend and we are also not in position to give judgement that who is better..They boht have got their fans and lovers. They were boht good singer with unique voices and its all come down to ur personal taste of music but i think M Rafi sing sad songs better than anyone else and he has depth and extreme emotions in his songs while kishore kumar is good in singing jolly and full of life song..

both r legends, but kishore kumar has an edge over rafi for obvious reasons.

i like jagjit singh's- tum itna jo muskura rahe ho, hoto se choo lo tum. and pankaj udas's- aur aahista kijiye baate..

I beg to differ. You can find a number of guys trying to be Kishore Kumar but no one tries imitates Rafi Sahab. Last person to do so was Sonu Nigam when he was young. He had a very unique voice. But to each his own.

no doubt that md. rafi had one of the sweetest voices, and comparision between these two legends is not possible. but i was just saying because md. rafi has very limited pitch, whereas kishore has no such restrictions. and when it comes to versitality kishore has no competetion in the whole universe.

i am die hard kishore kumar fan so i m lil partial to kishre da. but i like rafi's songs also.

neele neele ambar pe and mere saamne waali khidki mein (my g/f lived next door) are my favourites.

in ghazals i like ghulam ali and jagjit singh.

my favourite are
