Younis Khan has shown incredible determination to bang his 33rd Test century and that too when returning from dengue fever. He hit 127 on the first day of second Test match against West Indies at the Sheikh Zayed Cricket Stadium on Friday.
Younis now holds the record for 30 consecutive tons without being dismissed in the 90s. He eclipsed Sir Donald Bradman's record of 29 centuries.
"I got out once in 2001 against New Zealand in Auckland. If you look at Sachin Tendulkar, he has fallen in the 90s on many occasions. I try to play normally and don't search for runs as it leads to mistakes. If I score the needed runs it fine but I don't push for it," said the Pathan from Mardan district .

A legend, very underrated. Probably the best current test batsmen in the world. The way he comeback in the England series to win us the game at Oval, i guess it was the Oval. Brilliant, very underrated by our people too, forget the world.

Well Younus is a good cricketer, I also consider Abdul Razzaq to be an asset who was not exploited to his potential.

Is/ was there a need for such comparison ?

Not only younus khan many other Pakistani crickters had faced this like Misbah and Afridi.Bad time comes to everyone but it doesn't mean that it is the end of their story. We Pakistani kept aside all their good performances and start criticising him for his bad performance

Legend of cricket. One of the greats, pure class. There is only one word you can use for this man, Majestic.

Younus is a Pakistani asset for sure. But I consider Miandad and Imzimam to be #1 and #2 Pakistani batsmen of all times. The feeling of solidity was much more when those two came out to bat while Younus has too many times almost literally thrown away his wicket and that too at crucial times.
In case of Miandad, I remember when Pakistani team went to India in 1979-80 led by Asif Iqbal. During those days upmiring was not neutral and so naturally the Indian umpires were quite partisan (was were Pakistani umpires in Pakistan). But Miandad still managed to score in almost every innings.

Younis Khan also has aggressive batting style like Ian Chappell...............a quality aggressiveness unlike that khar Afridi. Media has highlighted 'Pathan-ness" of that donkey Shahid Afridi.....but the real and fine specimens of Pashtun temperament are Younis Khan, Omar Gul and Junaid Khan..........gentlemen who are about performance and none of them, including Shahid Afridi, have been involved in Match fixing.

Great Acivement from Younis Khan and no needd to glorify Indian guy what is his name Sachin , pathetic player played 200 runs to score 15,000 runs

If Pakistani players played 200 Test matches they would have scored 30,000 Runs
