What's new

young doctors strike , what do you think about bycotting emergency

My point is, is it wrong to want to earn a fair remuneration? Just because what you do directly saves lives, you are supposed to go that bit hungrier than the other whose work does not? What justice is this?
Who says doctor dont ? Just a few days ago A doctor in Pindi stole the kidney from a woman without her knowledge.
Will doctors gather round for protesting syuch malpacrtise

I can understand the doctors plight, but this is one of the profession where they cannot strike which is equivalent of playing with the lives of the admitted patients and patients who are brought to the hospital on emergency.

Doctors should have thought before took the medical as career. This is one of few careers where strike has no place given what is at stake. Once they do it, they are no longer doctors since their oaths are deemed invalid by default.

There is the reason why doctors are revered the most along with Armed forces. This is truly one of the most respectable profession in the world. The day won't be far if the professional loses respect from the civilians and will be considered like IT, engineers, architects, including degrading the job of PM.

And why do you want to be a party, when you are thoroughly mis-informed. If you were really concerned, then you should be on the side of doctors. No doctor worth his name will want harm, to his fellow beings/ patients.

Why dont you go and make a report about how bravely these doctors treat while working in seemingly inhuman environment. How many doctors take leave while they are themselves sick. How many extra hours they work out of prescribed timings just because of the passion they have for medicine....!!

Most of the people who hide behind the veil of humanity, are the first one to head home --> Sharp 04:00 PM....!!

Or how they will be at the frontlines right along with their brother soldiers with bullets and shells exploding all around. And getting hit and bleeding but still tending to the wounded first. And often dying while they wait for help to come back.

Or going into Pakistan and Afghanistan to try and vaccinate babies to protect and save future generations. And getting blown up.

I'd like to see how many Bankers, CAs, lawyers, and Architects do the above.

Young docs strike often in India as well. For more money. Or off late, to protest about hooliganism and violence against our professionals.

I repeat. A doctor is also a citizen of India. Or Pakistan. He or she also has the same right to protest or go on strike. This ER strike etc. is a huawwa. It NEVER happens. I challenge you to prove me wrong, that a strike has happened, and lives have been lost as a direct result.

We are doctors. We know what we are and what we are bound to do. We do not need outsiders teaching us our creed.

We are doctors.
I am glad that you take all doctors as doctors, removing any so-called national boundaries.

Since you have challenged me to show you one example, I will accept that challenge and not only show you single example but more.

Patients die. Daily. The media needs a story. A strike happens. An easy villain is found. Its too common to bear repeating.

I have NEVER seen the same outrage and clamor by the media when doctors get beaten up and assaulted violently for doing their jobs. Its so commonplace that its shown in movies too (bad man threatening doc ... take care of my relative, or else).

Have you considered the possibility that these patients died of other causes besides negligence? Or that such stories never see the light of the next day, so that the results of the invariably instituted inquiries never see the light of a new day. A perception is seeded in the minds of the public. And the world moves on. The truth is really not important. Just the sales of the number of copies on that particular day.

You asked me en example I have given YOU !

All that you say now to defend it like a lawyer's deserves no merit. You have the example. You can continue to deny it regardless but that will not change the reality that patients have died because Some white coats egoistic noobs were busy protesting

Dude if you were ever a doctor, or any remotely connected health worker who has ever worked in a hospital, you would realize how that would never happen. Ever.

Are you kidding me? Please get real. Doctors are ALWAYS there. And seniors are ALWAYS on call. Regardless of strike, floods, fires, earthquakes or war.

Get real ?? You telling me that ? Did you even bother to read what happened in Lahore ? How Punjab govt had to call in Army medical officers ? So what of the deaths of those patients. As I said you will continue to deny the proofs

Their licenses should be revoked. The doctors, lawyers etc are abusing their profession and doing criminal things

Sorry these doctors ion Government jobs n Pakistan are doing NOTHING extra ordinary nor inhuman environment rather these are patients who suffer at Government hospitals .

We do not need their extra hours we need them to perform their duties honestly during their duty hours.

And for the first para of your comment I am very well informed about the situation at our local govt hospitals.

These idiots play with lives of people. Shahbaz Sharif should take strictest action same I want in KPK. We have seen this terrorism by these so called "YOUNG doctors". begharat sar pe aik baal nahi ha young doctors my foot.

every now and then they need service structure revived, more increments, more extra benefits even for trainees.

WTF every year we face their blackmailing.

The same goons refuse to be posted in far-flung areas while loot and plunder at government hospitals.

.
Problem with this government is that . if u dnt do dharna they don't listen . being a husband of a doctor . she is caught up between government and YDA. YDA don't let them work and government keep firing them show up .

I do agree they are very underpaid and with no facilities at all . In this case she do support YDA. They had no option but to go on strike

Young doctors are mostly from rich families being graduated from private medical colleges. they are inhuman and morons.
how could they hinder the emergency of hospitals.
they must be dealt accordingly;....terminate all of them...appoint new doctors with new contract draft by which they dont have any right to exploit the govt. at the expense of innocent patients losing their lives
Not true . most of the people working at Mayo is from KE . it is the highest merit medical college in Pakistan . u can't get admission unless you get 92% . my wife is working there is she is from a middle class family . I do feel bad for her stuck between government and YDA .

.
Doctor Mafia at it again
everyone in Pakistan is budmash. Those of you who think doctors are messiah has probably never visited a private hospital in Pakistan.
