Bollywood and its fan have no problem with light skinned Pakistani actors being cast. But they wont tolerate a talented actor from North East and South India.

As a dark skinned person I have faced zero discrimination in the west. India is the only place where I have faced discrimination only at the hands of North Indians.

I call spade a spade. I am not politically correct. I have been a victim of racism in my country during my stay in delhi. I knew a Pakis who were living in Delhi at that time. Guess what they were treated like VIPs.

I have been rejected by 4 North Indian ladies for a marketing job because they wanted somone pleasant looking ( read fair). And btw not a single white person was racist to me ever. Only these North Indians get disgusted by color of my skin.

I can give 100s of examples of such examples of North Indian racism and hatred.

Racism is disgusting no matter who does, and I am sorry, but when someone feels the need to mention another's nationality or another form of identity to attack them, then it is pretty much zoning in on that as a target. For example, if I say, you bloody ****/Pakistani, please tell me why that would not be extremely prejudiced that I feel the need to mention the identity of the person I am arguing against?

Violence, discrimination etc is wrong, no matter who the victim is. As for those mentioning Kashmir or other issues of the same, what the bloody hell has this student got to do with an Indian soldier's behaviour in Kashmir or some idiots in Delhi? You don't know the victim, for all you know he could not be racist dark skinned Indians, or be apolitical.

This mass generalization and victim blaming is pathetic really, and I hope the mods wake up from their selective enforcement of the rules.

But here in India, fair and lovely cuckolds like ranbir kapoor and shahid kapoor are considered as masculine.

A couple in Australia's Tasmania verbally abused an Indian cab driver after they assaulted him. He alleged that the husband punched him from behind, and pushed him to the ground and kicked him repeatedly.

NEW DELHI: An Indian cab driver was taken to hospital after he was assaulted in Australia by a couple who knocked him unconscious and also screamed, "You f****** Indian, you deserve it."

Pardeep Singh, 25, a student of hospitality in the country, was beaten at the Sandy Bay McDonald's drive-through in Australia's island state of Tasmania on Saturday night.

He said he had picked up the couple around 10.30 pm and the woman kept opening the door to throw up even though he kept asking her not to. He reportedly warned her about possible accidents because of passing cars and also told the couple, "If you mess up the car you have to pay a cleaning fee."

The couple allegedly started abusing and beating the driver and kicking his taxi to damage it, while screaming, "You f****** Indian" and "bloody Indian".

Mr Singh said the man punched him from behind, and pushed him to the ground and kicked him repeatedly.

After several minutes, some pedestrians rushed to help the driver and called the police and ambulance. Another witness came forward with video footage of the incident. Mr Singh said he would not drive taxis again "because it's so dangerous".

A man and a woman have been charged for the assault, according to the police.

"It is alleged that the driver asked the passengers to leave his taxi after one of them was sick," said Ian Whish-Wilson, a police inspector quoted by the Press Trust of India.

"There was a dispute over payment and it is alleged the passengers assaulted the driver and damaged the vehicle. It was alleged a racial comment was made during the assault but it does not appear that the incident was racially-motivated," said the officer.

This is the third attack on an Indian taxi driver in Australia in less than a year.

In March, an Indian cabbie was assaulted by four teenagers in the Argyle St McDonald's and a third driver was assaulted by four men in June last year.

Forget about the reasons and details of the attack, but I know from personal experience that when a fight starts, you need to throw everything and try to do some serious damage to the perpetrator. Fight viciously and dirty. Don't care. Just make sure you do some life changing damage to the attacker. If you don't then you could get some serious damage yourself. Don't ever be sorry or remorseful. Always cause your enemy or attacker unacceptable and irreversible damage. Learning self defence and being good at it is a must nowadays.

The biggest mistake the guy made above was not fighting back. He should have taken the car keys and used it as a stabbing weapons in the eyes of the attacker.

If an Indian is abused on the based of race, I believe the same race (and nationality) has helped him recover now and in future. There are some people with an outlook that create these issues then it's their problem and the whole system shouldn't be blamed but their acts need to be punished; so happened in this case or any in India.

Please don't make it a Fair and lovely competition. If you happened to be dark skinned or light skinned that's your and your parents problem and not any others concern (unless you want to marry that person).

As for the bollywood comment, I do not belong to that profession but I know for a fact that "Bhahubali" series didn't get the populism from being a particular area or color skin. Why This Kolaveri Di?

A country is only characterised by the values it has and the outlook of the people. For once, not being there I thank you.
