The Uttar Pradesh government of Yogi Adityanath has issued directive to Madarsas to celebrate Independence day. UP CM asked officers to do video graphy of 8000 Madarsa on 15th august i.e Independence Day.

Preposterous!
Utterly absurd.

What about Temples, Gurdwaras and the likes?

Come August 15, madarasas in Uttar Pradesh will bear a new look. The Yogi Adityanath-led state government has directed all madrasas across the state to hoist the national flag, recite the national anthem, sing patriotic songs, organise cultural and sport-related programmes, and pay tribute to freedom fighters on Independence Day. What has caused a flutter amongst the madrasas is that they have to show proof of the activities by videotaping everything.

A circular in this regard was issued by Rahul Gupta, Registrar, UP Madrasa Shiksha Parishad to 8,000 madarasas recognised by the Paishad and 560 others that are government-aided.

The circular says that after hoisting of national flag and recitation of national anthem, tributes will be paid to freedom fighters and students will be told about the importance of Independence Day. Students are also asked to sing songs based on nationalism. A cultural program on national unity and sports events will follow then and the program will end with sweet distribution.

This is for the first time in state’s history that madrasas have been directed to organise more programmes than just hoisting the national flag and reciting national anthem.

“We were previously issued such directives. But now the government has taken steps to ensure that the directives are followed by directing the madarasas to videograph the event,” said Mohammad Faiyyaz, a teacher in a local madrsa.

The state government has also warned the madrasas that if the directives aren’t followed, the state will then withdraw government aid to these institutions.

Baldev Singh Aulakh, a minister of state in Yogi Aditynath Cabinet, said that the order to recite national anthem and song and other programmes are mandatory for all madrasas. "The government will withdraw grants if anyone fails to follow the directives,” he added.

No I still believe (even more so, in fact) that partition was a monumental civilizational blunder. An inflexion point from which we're probably never going to draw back from like the Germans did.

Like even the Koreans have a better chance of doing. And that's saying something ...

Frankly Pakistan itself straddles two civilizations. Can a common faith do what it could not in '71?

Partition wasn't executed properly. Muslims and leftists had all the power for 70 years. Now the tide is turning which is certainly not good for both!

We don't need Indian or anybody's certificate to prove partition was right or not. It was right as long as everyone in pakistan believes it was right.

India can flower it self with extremist Indians or make mosques on the Himalayas, it has nothing to do with partition nor will it ever.

As long as Pakistanis love pakistan and believe that partition was the best course, that is all that is required to validate the partition, the efforts of our elders, the efforts of our founding fathers, the efforts of our Marty's and the very existence of the two nation theory.

Jinnah was right and we are thankful. I dont what we would have done has extreme Pakistani population would be with us. Forget hindus they cant even live peacefully among themselves. Who would have wanted Taliban at the border or Nawaz Sharif as the leader? who would want mullahs running bizzare and people being killed just because their view differs than yours?

Thought I won't say what the UP is stupid.may be they can do that where madrassas get state funds.
