Seven-day Jiangxi tour route
1) Day 1: Lushan Mountain 庐山
Bordered to the north by the Yangtze River and to the south by Poyang Lake, Mount Lushan seamlessly combines these three landscapes, the beauty of which has attracted spiritual leaders, scholars, artists and writers for over 2,000 years.
Transport: Take a bus from the Long-distance Bus Station of Jiujiang City to Mt. Lushan, which departs every 30 minutes.
Ticket Price: 180 RMB (Apr.1 – Nov.31); 135 RMB (Dec.1 – Mar. 31)

2) Day 2: Jingdezhen Town 景德镇
If you are keen on Chinese porcelain, you can't afford not to know about the town of Jingdezhen, China's "Porcelain Capital." Jingdezhen is the birthplace of “white gold” porcelain and has a long history of over 2,000 years of porcelain-making. Most people come here to see the relics of the ancient ceramics industry.
Transport: Visitors can travel to Jingdezhen by air, train and bus. It is also convenient to take a bus from the Luojia Airport, train station and coach station to the city centre.
Best time to visit: Sep. - Oct.
3)Day 3:Yaoli Ancient Town 瑶里古镇
Yaoli Ancient Town is a beautiful place between blue hills and a green stream. Fish are flicking in the water while people travel through the picturesque sites. This is Yaoli, a famed ancient town of porcelain and tea near Jingdezhen. The crystal-clear Yaohe River flows right through the town. Idyllic scenery can be seen everywhere.
Transport: Take a coach from Jingdezhen Town Coach station to Yaoli. Coaches depart at 7.30am and 2pm every day.

Best time to visit: May - November

4) Day 4: Wuyuan County 婺源
Located north of the city of Shangrao, Wuyuan County is known as China's most beautiful countryside. The main attraction in Wuyuan is the sea of rapeseed flowers, which extends as far as the eye can see. In addition to this natural beauty, the county also has at least 50 historic old villages that have remained almost unchanged over the last century.
Transport: Wuyuan County is accessible by coach or bus from Jingdezhen, Jiujiang, Nanchang or Shangrao.
Ticket prices: 210 yuan (joint ticket, valid for five days)
Opening hours: 8 a.m. – 6 p.m.
Best time to visit: March to April
5) Day 5: Longhu Mountain 龙虎山
Longhu Mountain (“Dragon and Tiger Mountain”) is a famous and historic mountain sacred to Taoism, making it a holy land to which many pilgrimages are made every year. The mountain has numerous scenic spots, including Yingtian Peak, Hongwu Lake, Fairy Water Cliff and Longhu Peak.
Transport: Take the special tourist bus from Yingtan City to Longhu Mountain Scenic Spot.
Ticket price: 260 yuan
Opening hours: 7:30 a.m. – 5:30 p.m. (April – October); 8 a.m. – 5 p.m. (November – March)
6) Day 6: Sanqing Mountain 三清山
Dubbed the "first fairy mountain of Jiangxi," Sanqing Mountain is a sacred place for Taoists and is also famous for its granite forests, gorges and unique landscapes. Sanqing Mountain features beautiful clouds and mist, unique rocks, and strangely-shaped pine trees, making it an oasis of relaxation for your body and mind. The mountain is a great place to visit to escape the noisy city.
Transport: Take a coach from Shangrao or Yushan County to Mount Sanqing.

7) Day 7: Tengwang Pavilion 滕王阁
Located in the city of Nanchang, the Pavilion of Prince Teng is one of the three most famous towers in the regions south of the Yangtze River, together with the Yellow Crane Tower and the Yueyang Tower. In terms of its overall size and architectural style, this pavilion is a prime example of such traditional Chinese buildings and is a Nanchang landmark.

Opening hours: 7:30 a.m. – 6 p.m. (May 1 – Oct. 7); 8 a.m. – 7:30 p.m. (Oct. 8 – Apr. 30).
