WOW!!! Financial Times reveal that British Airways arrival to Pakistan is due to PM Khan

Hah we have explosions every few weeks now! So good for tourism!

If the OP is correct BA made an emotional decision. They will regret it as soon as another airport or tourist hotel in the country gets attacked by our strategic assets.
Why so much pessimistic approach? Have u ever visited Pakistan? Don't tell me that u are making these remarks on assumptions,

Good thing BA is run by professionals who look at risk/reward.

To visit pakistan from abroad one would need gainful employment to purchase an airline ticket. This guy probably buys data prepaid from stores in the ghetto.

We need flights from Manchester to Karachi or Islamabad, London is too far. :)

Actually prepaid connections are the norm in Pakistan and I know this because, unlike you, I actually live in Pakistan.

I was here when they blew up bombs outside the Avari hotel, attacked the marriott in islamabad, attacked Karachi airport and the most recent incident is the attack on a hotel in Gwadar just a few weeks ago. Most Pakistanis are in denial about the true situation in their country which is one reason they allow it to persist. The ones that speak up about it get accused of being traitors or get called indians. I guarantee BA won't stay in Pakistan for long. They got fooled into coming back. You can also tell because no other airline is doing it.

How many people were shot to death in gang violence in Lahore this past weekend? 0. How many in Chicago (my home town)? 57. If you're measurement of economic prospects is violence...more people have been killed in Chicago gang violence than in terrorist attacks in Lahore in 2018.

The mere fact that you live in Pakistan means zilch when it comes to big picture.

As far as BA is concerned....who fooled them? How were they fooled? Do they not have access to the same information you have access to?

BA is getting its butt kicked by gulf carriers. PIA is winding down. This is the easiest money making route they have had access to in decades. For any British Pakistani visiting home this is the best ticket to buy.

You're dead wrong when it comes to this issue. Period.
