Bangalore traffic is just HORRIBLE. You got all these IT company cabs that transport tens of thousands to and fro work every day+ other cabs and Autos- they're all unionized in a sense. So they're out for a fight. They know that if they bash or hit your car, they can get their buddies to stand by them so they drive rash all the time. And they will win it if it's a fight, ten of them will stop to support their friend. Not one auto guy will ever come by fare and if he takes you on board he thiks he's doing you a favor. Wonder when the govt will get this stuff cleared up. It is just UNBELIEVABLE here.
Was going on an impromptu road trip with a couple of mates. Some assbutt behind me has his beam headlights on and is tail gating me. I'm having none of his shit so I wave for him to pass me. Following that I proceed to do the same thing to him. This guy slams on the brakes and I calmly pass the guy and continue on my way.
Would have been an entertaining stop if I too slammed on the brakes and had a confrontation with the guy.
Fail on his part. Tried slamming brakes to get insurance money and ended up embarrassing himself.
I guess whatever has been described so far is what an avg Indian driver commuting more than 60-70 kms in a day experiences every day.
To be honest, few sharp overtakes and cuts keep reflexes sharp.
Yes it teaches you to keep calm. With little practice it comes. He followed me for the next 50km with his beam headlights on. Was walking around feeling dazed afterward.
Not smart on my part either, had to go and prove my manliness to myself and all that by starting a confrontation.
Man, driving in India almost gave me a nervous breakdown.

Driving in downtown Chicago gave me nervous breakdown. I was planning to stay for three days but left the next morning.

Driving with friends or colleagues from overseas is fun.
I've heard Chicago is over-rated anyway.
Chicago is a nice place to visit..pier on 4th of July. Lake Michigan shore. Museums and stadiums and few high rises where you eat and drink and some other good places to eat. People from different ethnicities means that you can get Lebanese Pakistani indian Irani Ethiopian sushi Chinese all kind of food.I've heard Chicago is over-rated anyway.
Fun for you, perhaps. For your overseas compatriots, not so much.
