AK II is completely secret. AK II is most probably totally new Tank with 1500 HP in fact HIT head mentioned working on AK 3 during the briefing he gave to senate committee

AK-1 is almost different Tank than MBT-2000. Within few years completely changed systems from engine to everything else. AK-1 has mostly European systems. @DESERT FIGHTER and @Dazzler can explain you better

Merkava 4 soon to be equipped with another Trophy version that will handle the kinetic anti tank shells threat too.
Not sure about the concept tho, it may use Iron Fist by IMI.

The effectiveness of tanks are measured with their protection abilities in current war environment. Even If you bring the best armored tank to current Syrian war, There will certainly be some casualities so Active/Passive protection systems are vital for such vehicles !
