World Bank canceling fund in two more projects

After canceling loan on Padma bridge for corruption by Awami League regime, World Bank now decided to cancel more than one thousand crore taka fund on ICT related projects. According to source from external resource division (ERD) WB already told then in verbal communication and formal letter of cancellation of the fund is expected in few days.

These two projects, one for setting up train service between Dhaka and ICT park and another one to bring more area under Internet coverage under “Leveraging ICT for growth employment and governance” was vital for ICT growth plan.

Hey common World Bank. Whom are you kidding. If corruption and cooperation in investigation against corruption was your yardstick, then most of the world bank loans to India should have been cancelled. India has a record of not deciding on any corruption case (high level) since independence.
